Backstory- Before Hogwarts

Makena is an only child and lived with her mother and father. Makena had a good upbringing until her mother betrayed her and her father and sided with the dark wizards. When this happened Makena and her father were put in danger but her father protected her and sadly died she blames herself for his death and vowed to never let an innocent person be harmed. After his death Makena was forced to stay with her mother and the other dark wizards she wasn't aloud to go outside or talk to other people or make friends but she would often sneak out just to have time to herself however if it was found out that she had been sneaking out her mother wouldn't be happy but this taught her to be a survivor and to not let the dark wizards rise again. You may think that because she has lived with dark witches and wizards for most of her life she would be a horrible person and just like them but its because of them that she is a positive and happy person but she does kind of have a dark side when sticking up for herself or her friends but she would never hurt anybody. Makena is also a very powerful witch for her age but still has lot to learn.

Family Life - Before Hogwarts

Makena lived with her mother who doesn't deserve to be named and her father Caspian Degray. Makena was very close with her father and her mother for a bit as well until her mother betrayed her, her father, and well the whole family by joining the dark witches and wizards and because of her mothers betrayal her father Caspian sadly died trying to protect Makena, she blames herself for his death which is a lot for an 11 year old to handle. After her fathers death Makena's mother put extreme restrictions on her which you can read about in the backstory. You may also be wondering why Makena didn't just leave why did she keep coming back and the truth is she had nowhere else to go after her fathers death her fathers side of the family made sure Makena or her mother couldn't contact them she didn't blame them they were muggles and didn't really understand they were also scared. Her mothers side had a few nice witches and wizards but she couldn't live with them because they would just send her back to her mother nobody could help they were scared or loyal to her mother.

Makena use to be a quiet girl who used to live a sheltered life however the extreme restrictions put on her has caused her to be hot headed and to have quite a rebellious nature but she will still follow the rules sometimes.. Makena is also sweet and happy girl, however the events of her life have given her a dark side that she is not afraid to use, if the situation calls for it. Despite the tragic events in her life, Makena is still a very positive and upbeat person. Makena is also a curious girl who always longs for an adventure. She is also a loyal, caring and a sympathetic friend. When someone hurts her or anyone she cares about, she won't rest until she gets back at them. But don't worry she wont do anything that bad....

Makena enjoys playing the piano and she took lessons back home until her father... after that she taught herself she also enjoys listening to classical music such as Bach, Puccini, and Mozart but she sometimes listens to other styles of music but classical is her favourite, Makena also enjoys drawing/sketching, exploring and dancing.

Makena has blue eyes, full lips, rosy cheeks, lightly tanned skin and long, brown hair worn in loose waves. She stands at 5'1" and her frame is slim and petite.

Kaleb - Makena didn't have many friends she was kept away from everyone by her mother but Makena knew Kaleb when her father was alive so they were already quite close so whenever Makena could sneak away she went to meet him. Kaleb isn't a wizard he was muggle so sadly he couldn't attend Hogwarts but she tries to write to him as much as she can. Even though Kaleb is muggle he knows about witches and wizards and well magic Makena trusts him a lot he his her best friend.

Her Mother - Makena's mother was a cruel and mean woman after she joined the dark witches and wizards and got her husband (Makena's father) killed. Her mother would often do horrible things if she did the slightest thing wrong so Makena hates her mother and she will never forgive her.

Noah Faye -> Noah is a friend from home, he was Kaleb adoptive brother and Makena often saw him when visiting Kaleb. Makena isn't as close with Noah ans she is with Kaleb but they are still very close, Makena actually taught Noah a few tips about drawing and it's one thing they bond over.
Mardella Bram ->  Della was the first person she met she is bubbly and nice. Makena wants to get to know her more.
Aurelia Bezuidenhout -> Aurelia is nice and kind and in their first lesson together they went out on an adventure with Kaegen Deathmore when the teacher failed to appear in one of the classes at the grounds. It was an unforgettable experience.
Winifrey Goulding -> Wini is another girl she met, Makena hasn't really spoke much to Wini but she seems nice.
Rae Hart ->  Rae is a girl Makena met on the way to platform 9 and 3/4 , Makena showed her how to get on the platform she also sat with Rae and Maggie on the train.
Magnolia Andrews -> Makena met Maggie waiting to get on the Hogwarts express she also sat with Maggie and Rae on the train.
