Personality: Outwardly friendly, no matter how someone looks or acts. Kels always looks for the best in any situation, no matter how difficult the challenge may seem. He's adaptable and open-minded, often coming to out-of-the-box conclusions. He lacks a degree of social grace and understanding, and can come off as flippant and oafish on the surface. A deeper looks reveals a vivid imagination and love of the world. He is empathetic and attentive, though his ways of showing it don't always translate.

He is also prone to making light of dire situations, working too hard to get people to laugh, and not having any shame. He hyper-focuses on things easily, often having his curiosity sparked and tunneling a deep rabbit hole to learn everything about it. When he chooses how to spend his free time, he will always seek out friends and loved ones. While sometimes annoyingly persistent, and not knowing when his company is unwanted, his insistence on the health and happiness of his friends gets him results.

Though in endless pursuit of entertainment, Kels never seems to be in a bad mood. He lets strife in his life slide off his back, and has a singular interest in everyone keeping their opinions about him to themselves. He spent most of his youth being mocked for being himself, coming out the other side a very confident and self-assured person. He found that as long as he was enjoying himself, he would attract people who liked him for who he was.

History: Kelsey was raised in a small home in Cambridge, his Muggle parents taking adequate care of him up until the the day his magic talent reared its head, around when he was five. Convinced that their child was possessed, the couple foisted the toddler onto the Fen Witch of Wicken, Tricky Brumby, who surprisingly agreed to adopt the baby. She, too, was only a Muggle, but her reputation as a mystical healer in the Cambridge area had garnered her the title of witch. Perhaps it was her innate kindness that felt the desire to remove the baby from parents who would never understand him, or the enticing idea that he might actually have a gift, but either way she became his new mother.

Under the thatch roof of a mystical fen hut, Kelsey grew up in an environment of reckless independence and unlimited creative freedom. His every whim was given room to be explored, and cultural structure was never established. Luckily, he lived close enough to other children he could socialize with, as to not inadvertently become a cryptid. Hanging out with other kids from Wicken gave him a fairly normal 90s childhood as 'the weird kid'.

Tricky was a loving soul (still alive), teaching as best she could about life and truth as she knew it. She also had some radical ideas here and there. A widower, she found new life in raising her magical son, and delighted at his acceptance into Hogwarts. She saw him off at the train stations every year, and stayed deeply involved as he started to bring back knowledge and ingredients for actual magical potion making.

Following her example and constant encouragement, he became obsessed with the options for magical healing. Always having been a nurturing type himself, he gleefully ate up all the information he could about the healing arts, as well as human and non-human biology. Not only had he lived most of his life seeing the happiness his mother brought to the woes of her customers, but he got himself into enough trouble that the ability to heal himself was practically mandatory.

Graduating at the top of his class, the bumbling and sometimes disgusting swamp boy showed a sharp, creative intellect that was often underestimated. His drive had always been through the pursuit of happiness, and he left the school with good memories. Continuing his studies into a career as a healer, he was excited when he was offered the job as the school nurse. It was perfect, who better to spread joy to than the next generation?

First Instance of Magic: A day that would haunt his unknown muggle parents for the rest of their lives. He was still small, a delightful and normal child by all appearances. He could be a bit of a handful sometimes though, and the exhausted guardians would shut themselves away to calm themselves down when he was being a tad too annoying. On one day, however, they would find doors to be no obstacle, as the moment they closed him out, he appeared behind them, prepared to pester them further. The day began with accusations of tricking them, then a Droopy Dog-esque routine of cat-and-mouse around the house, then abject fear. As a backwards, close-minded family, they didn't take kindly to the clear signs of demonic possession in their child. Even his next family didn't understand his true potential until he got his letter from Hogwarts on his 11th birthday.

2. Animal: The least weasel (Mustela nivalis), little weasel, common weasel, or simply weasel in the UK and much of the world, is the smallest member of the genus Mustela, family Mustelidae and order Carnivora. It is native to Eurasia, North America and North Africa. The common least weasel is a medium-sized subspecies with a tail of moderate length, constituting about 20–21% of its body length. In its summer fur, the upper body is a dark brownish or chestnut colour, while its winter fur is pure white. It is probably a transitional form between the small pygmaea and the large vulgaris. 3. Description: 140 mm in length, 30 mm tail length, with dark chestnut fur and a white underbelly. Fur turns all white in winter conditions. Little legs, small ears, short dense fur, and beady eyes. The line between the brown and white fur is mostly straight. Face/ snout is mostly brown.
4. Distinctive Marking: Least weasels have a dark brown/ black nose, but Kelsey's nose when transformed is decidedly pink. Albino weasels can have pink noses, but Kelsey would not have the red eyes of an albino, so even when white he would be distinguishable from a 'normal' weasel.
