Physical Appearance:
She has long, dark hair that reaches her waist, and her eyes are a striking grey, and are similar to a doe. She is quite petite, standing at 4'5, and her body frame is thin and fragile, like a little bird, or a china doll. She is quite the little ballerina, for that is her favorite activity when she can practice. Her skin is pale, and she rarely tans, for her parents prefer that she stays indoors. Her features are small and dainty, including her feet and hands.

Personality:

Ophelia rarely speaks. If she does, her voice polite and soft. She's extremely shy, which can come off as cold to some people. She's a pushover though, and will do whatever you ask her, unless its extremely dangerous. Ophelia is a peculiar girl. She is quiet, and only speaks if she is spoken to first. Ophelia is, how you say, innocent. She is naive, and doesn’t understand a lot about the world, especially in her younger years. She is manipulated easily, if you are kind to her. She is really quiet and soft spoken, being raised to hold her tongue. She’s quite dependent on others, including her siblings, who don’t mind helping the girl. She is actually quite kind and gentle. Even if you know her really well, she is still very quiet. She doesn’t want to feel like a burden, so she lets the others talk instead of her.

History/Background Story:

Ophelia Rosalie Bordeaux was born on February 26th, 2009 in London, England, to Amalie Bordeaux (maiden name Nott) and Alexandre Bordeaux. The couple had already had a son, Johnathan, four years prior. Her parents are quite well known in the wizarding world, plus they're one of the last pureblood families left. Her parents think that purebloods are superior still, and Ophelia thinks that their views are bogus. Everyone who lives is of value. As she got older, she didn't like her parent's views at all. But she holds her tongue, since if she said anything her parents would literally disown her, and she's their golden child at the moment, which is a lot on her little shoulders. Johnathan on the other hand, who is also in Slytherin, is quite the troublemaker. He's not mean to Ophelia, but he can tease her a lot, for being a coward of sorts. Their parents are actually stricter with little Ophelia, for they wanted her to be the perfect girl. Perfect posture, perfect manners, perfect little body and face, perfect everything. Like a little doll. That's what Johnathan calls her anyways. Just a doll. She is sweet and kind, yet she is so quiet that you rarely see that side of the girl.

One of her fondest memories is when she was around five years old, and it was the Bordeaux's annual Christmas party. The small girl was dressed up to the nines, a little dark green dress with a green bow tied around her waist. It was quite an extravagant dress for such a young child, but nevertheless the Bordeaux's wanted her to wear it. Her hair was pulled back into a low bun of sorts. Her cheeks were fuller then, and quite rosy. Amalie Bordeaux somehow convinced the small girl to let her do makeup on her. Just mascara and a bit of lipgloss. She looked just like a china doll. Her little curious grey eyes peered at all of the adults, who were dressed up in beautiful gowns and suits. She remembers all of the adults coming up to the hosts of the party, engaging in small talk and complimenting the children's appearances, saying, "Oh, how cute! How beautiful! How handsome!" She remembers that Johnathan held her hand the whole time, as he was instructed to. They didn't mind. The children were close. He already was a tall child, and he was decently strong for a nine year old. And then, the adults started to dance. She was already in ballet at this point, but hearing the music swell and the people smiling as they danced a fast waltz made Ophelia break her straight face, and she smiled. She remembered that Johnathan took her out to the dance floor and taught the five-year-old how to dance the waltz. Both of them were giggling the whole time. They had no idea what they were doing, but Johnathan just twirled the young girl until they both got dizzy and had to sit down, both of them laughing. That was, until Amalie Bordeaux rushed over and scolded her children for making a little scene. Both of them apologized, but you could see a hint of a smile on Mrs. Bordeaux's face. It was rare to see her smile like that, but she'd found the scene of her children dancing so funny that even she couldn't help it. After that, Ophelia had always looked forward to the Christmas Eve parties that the family hosted, and just Christmas in general.

How Ophelia found out she had magic was rather odd to be totally honest. When she was around 7, the girl's brother, Johnathan, dared her to climb on the roof and to balance on it like a tightrope. At first the girl refused, but eventually gave in so that her brother would stop teasing her. She climbed up, but when she did, she slipped and fell. Well, she floated down slowly, more like it. And her brother didn't even do anything to help her, it was all on her own. Johnathan swept her up in a hug after that.

The man is currently 46, and he is alive and well. Ophelia's relationship with her father is complicated. She doesn't see him often, for their house is big and he's always locked up in his office, working. Ever since the young girl was born he had been cold and strict. He never let her get away with anything. He had to know her every move. Who she was friends with, how her studies were going, everything. He had always intimidated poor Ophelia. He is tall, and has the same piercing eyes, just like her. She had only seen him smile a few times, usually it was forced, or at a party. Though he is intimidating, he loves his children, and wants them to succeed, and to honor their pureblood name. Ophelia is their golden child, therefore he is not as hard on her as he is to Johnathan. When he knew that Ophelia was a witch, he gave her a nod of approval with a smile, and that meant a lot to little Ophelia. As cold as he could be, Ophelia had always loved her father, though she could only befriend people that her father approved of, which usually meant they had to be pureblood, although the girl would never agree with those views. She would be afraid to defy him, but she wanted to be friends with good people, no matter their blood type. He was sorted into Slytherin many years ago.

The woman is currently 45, and is alive. Amalie Bordeaux is very similar to Alexandre. Cold and calculating. The woman is extremely curt and polite, and usually has her dark hair tied back in a tight bun. This is where Ophelia got her undeniable beauty from. She has a tall and sharp figure, and she rarely smiles, just like Ophelia's father. She is hard on Ophelia as well, pressuring the small girl to be ladylike and poised, similar to her. Though strict, she is a bit more lenient with Ophelia, even though she can be more harsh when Ophelia gets in trouble, which is rarely. The woman was a pureblood, and she went to Hogwarts years before, and was sorted into Slytherin, alongside Alexandre. The two were in an arranged marriage from two pureblood families, and the both of them were in love with each other in the end, so it didn't bother them too much. Amalie doesn't keep very close tabs on her children like Alexandre does, but she does check in every so often. Ophelia likes her mother, though she wishes that the woman wouldn't be so cruel.

Johnathan Bordeaux is currently 16 years old, and is in Slyhterin, just like his little sister. Out of everyone in her family, Johnathan has to be the one she's closest to. Through thick and thin, the two of them had always gotten along, except for a few squabbles here and there. Johnathan is quite protective over his little sister, since he views her as a fragile thing, who could break at the slightest of touch. He is quite the troublemaker, and defied his parents more than a few times, in which annoyed them, since he was the heir to inherit the family riches. He doesn't like the weight of his family wealth on his shoulders, so he just pretends it doesn't exist in that moment. Johnathan was excited for Ophelia when she got accepted into Hogwarts, but he knew that he'd have to watch over her to make sure that no one would break her little heart or bones.

Aurora Nott (Grandmother)

Aurora Nott is the mother of Amalie, and is as kind as she is strict. Of course Ophelia is her favorite grandchild, for she found the young girl unproblematic and polite, not like the chaos that Johnathan brought with him everywhere he went. She currently lives in France, for she moved there after her husband passed away two years prior. A long long time ago, she was also a Slytherin, though she did tell Ophelia that the Sorting Hat was really considering putting her into Ravenclaw, for it found her quite witty and intelligent. The Bordeaux's visit Aurora each summer at her villa in France, and spend most of their summer there. Aurora always tells the children's parents to go easier on them, thinking that their way of teaching is much too harsh. They don't listen though. Ophelia loves her grandmother very much.
