History/Background Story:
Jackson's mother was a teen when she got pregnant with him. She didn't want him. Social Services got involved, and fast forward a few years of bouncing from one house to another, he's been adopted and flown from Canada all the way to London, where he lives with his adoptive father. He'd spent a lot of time with people who only adopted for tax benefits, which was why when he met someone who would fight like hell to keep him and loved him unconditionally, it was a shock. His first act of magic happened when his adoptive sibling, Jester, was getting bullied for his sexuality. The two of them were surrounded by a group of bullies on their way home. The cans of spray paint Jester had dropped exploded, covering the boys in rainbow and giving the two brothers a chance to escape.
Ever since then, things kept bursting around him in times of stress, which actually resulted in quite a few accidents and discussions about whether exploding the science class was an accident or not. When he received his letter, his adoptive father had to convince him to go. After not having a family for the longest time, Jackson had finally found someone who wanted him and now that very same person wanted him to leave to a far away place full of strangers. Talk about separation anxiety, eh? Weeks of pleading from Anthony Thorn Lockwood, his adoptive father, and a promise to write daily finally made him agree, somewhat sullenly.STATISTICS

Personality: For the first couple weeks, Jackson will probably spend some time alone, missing Anthony and trying to act like he isn’t. With every letter he gets from his dad, he will get less anxious, eventually growing more comfortable in the castle and making friends. He is the kind of person to try and touch ‘that weird angry tree’ just because he’s feeling pissed off and wants to get the anger out of his system. More will develop as he grows up, just because...ya know, he’s 11. He can’t have a personality that’s set in stone already, now can he?
UPDATE:
After a month spent at hogwarts, he got used to the school. His main source of anxiety had always been the inability to fit in, but once he kind of got the hang of how things went, he became less likely to crack under the pressure. He still hates the fact he was forced to assimilate into an alien culture which despises everything he stands for (aka being a 'muggle') and the noise and new customs were overwhelming at first. Then he started blending in, the way he once did with his graffiti crew. Blending in so well he seemed to disappear, keeping his mouth shut rather than voicing the hurricane of thoughts which was constantly swirling around his head. For the first year, I'm planning to have him be easy to forget, while he learns more about the wizarding world he'll be a wallflower of sorts.
Likes:
Drawing. He loves it and would do almost anything to become a better artist. Three years of walking around the streets of London gave him time to see the most amazing graffiti and meet amazing people. For a little while he was part of a graffiti gang, in charge of keeping watch while the 'Immortals' did their thing.
Dislikes:
Spoiled people. He cannot stand anyone who has a lot more than those around them and acts like it. Yeah, you never had to go hungry, mate. But that don’t mean you have to act like you’re better than me. He also really hates noises, and being in the same room as too many people. It reminds him of the foster homes he was in, where there were too many kids all living together in the same limited space.
Appearance Jax is a small kid, pale as a corpse with dyed black hair and blue veins which are very visible through his nearly transparent skin, climbing up his wrists and neck, the back of his eyelids. Originally I was going to give him small stick and poke tattoos, but I was informed by staff that is not allowed. His hair is held up in a badly made manbun, small strands coming out and falling down to his jaw. Around his left wrist is a blue friendship bracelet made by Brionna Wolf. His clothes usually consist of a pair of jeans so ripped it seems he's been attacked by a pack of wild dogs, and a black hoodie which has a handpainted city on the front of it. The city has been slowly making its way to the back of the hoodie as days passed, his longing for home apparent in the beautifully painted buildings and minuscule streets.
Sketchbook I originally made Jax as a grownup, so playing him as an 11 year old kid is incredibly confusing. However, here's a little blurb about his sketchbook.
ReducioHe has a sketchbook full of 'bad' drawings. Somewhere in the middle is a rough sketch of what his tattoo parlor will look like, assuming he gets better at drawing and actually opens one. If anyone ever dares to touch the sketchbook, he will claw their eyes out and beat the crazy out of them. He’s had it for years and it shows. A simple, beaten up black cover and yellowed pages which have floofed up over the years, with little strips of paper shoved in, paint and pencil clashing on the same page, half-forgotten song lyrics scribbled in blue pen on corners and unfinished tattoo designs. If anyone gave that sketchbook a hearty shake, dreams and memories would fall out like rain, piling up on the floor at their feet.

Hogwarts Life:
At Hogwarts, Jax has been refusing to do certain things. Wear the robes, for one. They hang off his skinny frame like a sac and he’s constantly tripping on them. So instead, he’ll be seen walking around in jeans and band shirts, wand in his back pocket, hair messy as hell.
After a while, his hair will get a little too long- hanging past his jaw. Then, he'll start using the wand to tie it back in a badly done man bun.
To put it bluntly, Jax is failing all his classes. His assignments are handed in on sketchbook paper, written in ballpoint pen or pencil (which so far has managed to rub his Charms teacher the wrong way), he only just figured out which end of the want to hold, and on top of that, he rarely pays attention in class, eyes following the movements of a certain griffindor boy.
A griffindor boy who found out, and turned about five other guys against him. A few days later, Jax kept his distance and moved to the other side of the classroom, making sure to avoid Alys (npc)
Socially, he’s an outcast. None of the other guys will hang out with him since they found out he’s gay. He’s been owling Brionna Wolf, planning to play some football in the courtyard, but other than that, it’s just him, his spraypaint and blackbook.
He’s been sending owls back home, getting a few back.
There is some dark stuff that I would like to add in. Some depression and strong ptsd in his fifth year, but that will have to wait
