Those who knew Elisabeth had never in their lives heard about anyone whose background was as multicultural and ethnicity-diverse as her. The girl was born in Belize and spent most of her life in Great Britain, but of course her family history was much longer than that. Elisabeth’s paternal great-grandparents moved from Romania to Belize, and later their son – Elisabeth’s abuelito – married a Mexican-Belizean lady. Later on, one of their sons, Elisabeth’s papá, married an Indonesian born Chinese; and, well… his wife’s paternal grandpa came from Singapore, while her maternal grandma was French. So Elisabeth had Romanian, Belizean, Mexican, Chinese, Singaporean, and French blood in her vein! And she was familiar with English, Indonesian, and Belizean cultures!

Things might sound that complicated for adults; but for little Elisabeth, the only thing mattered was her happiness. She had loving parents and an adorable little brother, enough food to eat without worry, and a good home – and all of these were enough to keep her happy. Besides, her mamá always had stories to tell and songs to sing, and her papá sometimes surprised her with new picture books from the bookshop downtown.

When Elisabeth was four, her family spent Christmas in London with her Ayi (auntie) Anna because the young lady had just been offered a position in St Mungo’s Hospital, and her family wanted to congratulate and accompany her on her first Christmas in UK. During this visit, Elisabeth kept insisting that all flowers in the manger display at church should bloom although her mamá had explained they would bloom one day. But when the little girl touched the buds, suddenly they bloomed. Realising that this was their daughter’s first spark of magic, her parents quickly walked her away before any Muggle could see what had just happened.

Back to Belize, her parents discussed about options of magical school Elisabeth could attend in six or seven years. Ilvermony was a convenient choice due to its location, but her papá, a graduate from the north American wizarding school, remembered his hard time as a Muggle-born there – not because of the professors, but because of some students’ prejudice. Finally they decided on Hogwarts because of its good reputation in accepting diversity. To ensure that their daughter would be accepted there, they sent her to a Muggle public school in London when she turned six. Since that time, Elisabeth lived with her Ayi Anna, who showered her with much love. She could only visit her parents on holidays and they missed each other, but luckily, Muggles had things called internet and video call (both Elisabeth and her family lived in the Muggle part of the towns).

Elisabeth is a very pretty eleven-year-old girl. She keeps her dark hair shoulder-length with fringe. Even though she comes from a multiracial background, her mamá's genes turn out to be more dominant and as a result, Elisabeth looks very much like an Asian girl. She does, however, inherit her papá's left-parted hair (although her brownish hair colour is inherited from her mamá), which she sometimes clips back with a hair clip. She has clear skin which is usually considered fair (light or white) for a Hispanic-Asian, and is very elegant in manners.
