Age: 12
Birthday: January 21, 2006
Current Residence: Cambridge, England

Current Height: 5’2”
Appearance: Winifrey has long brown hair with a slight curl at the end. Her facial features are narrow and dainty and her nose is slightly upturned. Her eyes are a dark shade of blue, but they still hold the vibrant color. Winifrey has a slim athletic build.

House: Gryffindor
Blood Status: Muggle-Born

Personality

Wini is a very sweet young girl when you first get to know her. She is polite and respectful, although sometimes she can be very curious and will ask a lot of questions. Although, once she becomes comfortable in the relationship, her true personality finally shows. She has a wild taste for adventure that is rarely ever quenched, although that sometimes gets her into trouble. Wini is extremely loyal and will never leave a friend in times of trouble. A lot of the times she jumps into fights and challenges head first without even thinking about it.

Other

Wini doesn't have that many talents. She doesn't play any instruments, draw, sing, dance, etc. Her childhood was spent either outside running around with the neighbor kids (who only let her play because she could run quite fast and keep up) or traveling the world with her father when she could. She does enjoy to read. Her father used to read her bedtime stories that were filled with adventure. But he was away for work quite a bit. Wini considers herself a hard worker, but she doesn't have the most amazing grades. She would call them quite average. Although she does have one particular skill that she is quite proud of and that is her skill in Polo. She is one of the best in her family at such a young age. Winifrey is also quite skilled in horseback riding which also includes bare back.

Family

Mother:
Gwen Golding (Alive)
Appearance:

History>> Gwen grew up in a well off family, although her and her brother Arthur were the rowdy ones of the family. Her older sister and her mother constantly looked down upon them, but they did not really care. Their father even helped them out some of the times. Gwen grew up riding horses and playing Polo with some of the richest families in the countries, although they had never had the Queen over. Her father died when she was fourteen, her brother Arthur having to take on the role as head of the house at a young age. Gwen’s mother helped a bit, but when she was eighteen, her mother passed away as well. She went to study at the University of Cambridge to major in art. That was where she met Harold Golding, who was taking a course for his photography while he was living there for a bit. The two got married before having their only child, Winifrey Golding.

Father:
Harold Golding (Assumed Dead)
Appearance:

History>> Harold Golding grew up in an orphanage in London. Miss Nancy, who was the woman in charge of taking care of the children, got Harold interested in photography. She gifted a camera to him on his tenth birthday and it was his prized possession. He took it with him wherever he went, constantly taking photos of everything. When he was fifteen, he sold his first photo to a magazine company for 117.81 pounds (160 dollars). To him that was a lot of money. So once he was old enough to leave, he bid Miss Nancy good bye before running off to take photos of the world and sell them. At age twenty-two, he got a huge job in Cambridge for a couple of weeks, but it was required that he took a photography course for the job. Harold was a bit upset about this, but he took it anyway considering the amount that was being offered. That was where he met Gwen Fare, a young and aspiring artist who absolutely adored his work. The two got married within the week before eventually having their first and only daughter, Winifrey Golding.

Family History

Gwen Golding (Fare) Family::

~Father>> Jonathan Fare (Deceased) ~ est. June 3rd 1967
~Mother>> Elizabeth Fare (Deceased) ~ est. February 26th 1968

Gwen’s parents were horse breeders, Jonathan’s parents having provided the animals for World War II. They bred some of the best horses in the war. They even received some awards for these accomplishments. Once the war was over, there was no need for their horses, although they still breed a few. The Fares eventually went into breeding Polo Ponies for the sport. From here, they quickly acquired large sums of money allowing them to host their own games between prosperous families. During this time, they gave birth to three children, one daughter and then the twins. Jonathan and Elizabeth Fare eventually grew old and died, leaving their property and land to their only son.

~Eldest Sister>> Florence King (Fare) (Alive) ~ est. April 22nd 1984
~Husband of Eldest Sister (Divorced)>> Walter King (Alive) ~ est. July 16th 1983
~Son of Eldest Sister>> George King (Alive) ~ est. March 8th 2002

Florence was the eldest of the Fare children. She grew up spoiled by her mother because she always acted like the perfect daughter. Being apart of a very rich and recognized family, there were many eyes on the growing children. Many people watched and wondered what they would turn out like and if they would take on the business. Florence managed to please all of these eyes. She eventually grew up to marry a rich Duke, Walter King. They had a son, George King, who was one of the most awkward boys in the world. He was tall and lanky, curly blonde hair with a creepy stare that would freak even the elderly out. Florence eventually divorced her husband, but using her manipulative ways, she was able to gain a large estate with large amounts of money that would support her luxuriously for the rest of her life. Since then, she has strongly encouraged her son to play Polo as well, even though he sucks. They both always attend the family gatherings and matches.

~Twin Brother>> Arthur Fare (Alive) ~ est. May 4th 1986
~Wife to Twin Brother>> Amelia Fare (Alive) ~ est. October 6th 1988
~Son [eldest]>> Hal Fare (Alive) ~ est. January 30th 2002
~Son [2nd eldest]>> Michael Fare (Alive) ~ est. March 2d 2003
~Son [3rd eldest]>> John Fare (Alive) ~ est. July 23rd 2005
~Son [youngest]>> Peter Fare (Alive) ~ est. May 21st 2007

Arthur inherited his father’s property and business after he married Amelia. Kind-hearted and humble, the couple quickly thrived with the business, making fair trade and quickly gaining friends across the country. They were well loved. They had four sons, all rambunctious with a thirst for adventure. They definitely had their hands full but it never once faltered their welcoming environment. Arthur and Amelia Fare host all of the family get togethers, along with the family games of Polo.

Harold Golding Family::

~Father>> Jack Golding (Unknown) ~ est. November 13th 1959
~Mother>> Alison Golding (Harper) (Deceased) ~ est. February 13th 1964

Jack Golding was an American photographer who traveled a lot for work. He would go home to Chicago every now and then to visit family, but eventually he stopped due to the craziness of his work. While working in London, he met Alison Harper, a florist who worked part time while studying to become a writer. They didn’t get married before they had a child. A son whom they named Harold Golding. Eventually, it just became too much. Jack left Alison, disappearing without a trace. Alison did her best to care for her only son, but she couldn’t do it all by herself. She feared what her family would say since she was not married and they had never met the father. So she left Harold Golding on the steps of an orphanage before disappearing from his life forever as well.

Personal History

Winifrey Golding was born in Cambridge, England, living there her whole life as an only child. Her parents loved her dearly and she lived the first part of her life without a thought of wizards or magic. Her parents never spoke of it, and they were always busy doing other things that they never heard about it. The only way that Wini would hear of it was through school, but she rarely ever listened, seeing as school was boring to her most of the time.

Her father was a photographer who traveled the world constantly. Wini would miss him dearly when he was gone, but she adored the pictures that he would send back home on a monthly basis. When he was home, he would always have some of the grandest adventures to tell her. So she would sit at his feet while he reclined in his arm chair, a cup of tea in his hands as he recited a story that seemed like a novel to her filled with raging lions and the exotic rivers of the Amazon.

Wini's mother is an aspiring artist, doing all of her work at home in her studio that is held in the attic. Whenever Wini was home, she would spend her time up there sometimes where her mother would paint and listen to the old record player while Wini lounged in the window seat and read or did homework. Her mother loves her dearly, simply wanting what was best for their only child.

Wini was homeschooled until she was about seven, traveling the world a lot with her parents. She’s been to nearly every country. But when her father’s job became more demanding, joining him on his adventures seemed impossible. So she was sent to public school. This only caused Wini to further crave her father’s presence whenever he was home.

Whenever they could, they would go and visit her Uncle Arthur who had a large estate along with almost a hundred horses. There, she quickly learned how to ride and absolutely enjoyed playing Polo with her family. She would visit the nearby wooded area that her Uncle had planted with her cousins, always reenacting adventures and having the best of times.

It was then that her life was good.

But it was around when she was eight that Wini sat on the front porch of their apartment, waiting for the yellow taxi to drive up and her father to step out with a wave and a hello. There would be hugs and kisses, stories with amazing pictures to go along with them.

But Harold Golding never came home.

No one knew what happened to him. He had gone to Ecuador, wanting to get pictures of the birds that were so colorful, the rainbows were jealous. But Wini no longer wanted a story. She simply wanted her father to come home.

For two weeks the small brunette waited on that porch. The grief, stress, and the fact that she refused to accept that her father was never going to return seemed to caused her magic to grow stronger.

It had first appeared when she was six, during a near car accident that easily could have been worse than it was. Afterwards, the magic was small. Very small.

But after the disappearance of her father, Wini's magic only grew stronger. Her mother only wanted what was best for her child, but as a muggle with no experience whatsoever, she was not fit for the job and fear was beginning to grow.

The acceptance letter from Hogwarts was hard for Wini's mother. It was even harder when she had to say goodbye.
