Background

Logan Blackwood is a young boy born in London, son of two muggles with some amount of magical blood in their past, which manifested itself in Logan, much to their surprise, though not in the good sense.

At around 5 years of age, Logan manifested his magic in an explosive way: during a scuffle with his twin brother over who would play with a brand new toy their parents had bought them, Logan's brother suddenly shot back from the toy, hitting the wall with his head, causing a serious injury, much to the dismay of his very traditional parents.

The parents, after much deliberation, took a harsh decision, sending Logan to live with his uncle and his wife, who took care of him ever since.

Since that incident, the boy lived a mostly normal life, going to school and being cared for by his new guardians, though always living with sense of being a strange and unnatural kid whose parents decided was not worth keeping as a son.

With time, Logan developed a loner type personality, seeing himself as a somehow different and therefore, alone. He never showed much interest in school, resulting in mediocre grades, except for one or two subjects he genuinely enjoyed, maths for example. Though this type of personality obviously attracted people who wanted to make fun of him, Logan stood up for himself pretty consistently, desiring a place where he could feel less alone.

That desire made itself real when a letter, signed by one Solomon Lear, headmaster of school named Hogwarts for supposed Wizards came, delivered by a live owl! It was surreal, and while his very confused uncle tried to make sense of the situation, Logan couldn't wait to learn more about this Magical World, one where he apparently fit in just right.
