BIOGRAPHY

Gargott came into this world on October 16, 1983. It had been a cool, yet clear day in the old fishermen’s town, Portree on the Isle of Skye, Scotland. A town that was inhabited by the same families for generations, as the ancient skill of fishing was passed from father to son. The town was filled with colorful houses, as many of them were painted in bright colours. It gave a sense of uniqueness to it and one look on them could turn even the deepest frown in a genuine smile. Wizards and muggles lived here in harmony as the Statute of Secrecy was respected and magic turned into an urban legend for the muggles. In the bright blue home of the fishertowns, Gargott would enjoy a happy and enjoyable childhood amongst a loving family.

A small man, due to his heritage as a Part-Goblin. Eyes, seemed to be the color of pitch black pools in which it is hard to distinguish any emotion whatsoever, his eyes lie deep within his sockets. Long, fat fingers who resemble sausages, a dome shaped head and if you look close enough you could still see that the upper side of his ears tend to be a bit pointier than the average human. His body resembles a small keg, with a round belly being the most prominent feature. Long, red, uncombed hair adorning his head, yet the scalp of it was already balding with a thick moustache adorning his upper lip.

The Part-Goblin’s personality could be described as a cold and heartless man. Yet, to the once he let in and the people he considers friends. To those he comes across as a warm and goodhearted man. An appetite like a dozen boars, this man is ready to take on any buffet!

The first time he had managed to use magic, had come as a surprise to him. Gargott always had been a small boy. He never had been able to reach even the average height like most of his peers. Which was yet another incentive for the other boys in school to pick on him. One day it really got out of hand as a group of the older children had singled him out, calling him a dwarf, a midget, a deformed mutant… It had angered little Gargott, yet they were too big for him and even if that hadn’t been a problem, he still would’ve been outnumbered. The meanest of the group a tall, pimple faced briggant who had a crooked smile was taking the bullying to another level as he wanted to beat Gargott. As the leader’s fist, almost the size of Gargott’s face, almost collided with his cheek the boy had closed his eyes and awaited for the pain to come. Yet all of a sudden a lot of disgruntled noises convinced Gargott to open his eyes. The fist had come to a halt and just floated there, the leader of the group having a confused expression on his face as his tiny brain couldn’t wrap around the fact why his fist wasn’t listening. Gargott took advantage of the confusion and quickly ran home as fast as his tiny legs could carry him.

On his eleventh birthday he received a letter to attend Hogwarts. Gargott got sorted into the noble house of Hufflepuff where he spent many years. The time he spent on Hogwarts wasn’t very eventful until the year of 1998 when the Battle of Hogwarts took place. Gargott was then only in his fourth year and didn’t partake in said battle. Instead he spent his time hiding and praying no one would find him. The Part-Goblin always scored good grades for classes like Herbology and Care of Magical Creatures. Upon his graduation, he immediately decided to spend more time amongst the other part of his heritage, the Goblins. It was there that he learned the sacred art of Goblin Smithing. Years the part-goblin spent perfecting said craft, until he had finally mastered it and became famed for his skills in the year of 2010.

The year of 2010 had become the pillar of his career as he not only was a successful and shrewd businessman, at this point in his life he would also meet his love. As many wizards and witches would seek him out to purchase a weapon or trinket made by the arts of Goblin Smithing, an object that would embody all of their wealth and status the family would achieve. One such witch was Diana Markunas, a witch who had attended Durmstrang Institute and who came from a Pureblood line. Her father who was a Purist in every way possible had ordered her to seek out and find the famed Part-Goblin and purchase an heirloom to be passed down from generation upon generation, yet he would not conduct business with a ‘lesser’ creature. Instead he had ordered her to deal with ‘it’. Diana was everything, but a Purist as she saw kindness and something positive in everyone. Blood didn’t matter to her, only the person in front of her. As Gargott was enamored by this witch he had gifted her a necklace, which was one of his most prized possessions, without a contract to be signed and without a knut to be payed.

The gift was only the beginning of their love story, although her family shunned and ex-communicated her for loving a ‘lesser’ being. Their love proved to be strong and it was sealed by the birth of their son in the year of 2013. Like any other Goblin the Part-Goblin showed to have a weakness for gold. As such he had drafted contracts that all of his customers had to sign upon purchasing his wares. In the fine prints of these contracts it stated that upon the death of the client the object that was bought would be returned to Gargott. After a dozen incidents, word had spread across the wizarding world that any who had bought an object with Gargott should hide their ‘heirloom’. But no matter how long it took, Gargott always seemed to recollect his ‘possessions’.

Upon the age of 35, Gargott’s spirit got crushed when he came home one night after a long day of work at the forge to an empty home. It would seem that the Part-Goblin had invoked the ire of too many powerful wizarding families. They had demanded the return of their ‘belongings’, his wife had refused them and this resulted in her death and that of their only son. With the death of the only people he had left in this world all feelings of joy and happiness vanished and instead an all consuming void of pain and suffering seemed to take place. That same night Gargott had returned to his forge where he worked his magic for three days. When he emerged from the hot, smokey shop he was donned in a newly forged armor and sword, he sold his family home at Portree and started to travel the world with no clear destination set in mind. As time passed the wound in his heart only seemed to fester and his size growing.

Now in the year of 2020 after two years of travelling, Gargott returned to his old school, where he now works as the Grounds Keeper.
