Albert was born on October 12, 2008 to a Wizard with near-pure magical roots and a Muggle mother, in the city of Edinburgh, Scotland. Raised as a Scotsman, as his Eastern European father did not like his nationality, Albert lived a fairly normal life. He attended grade school as a normal child, up until being called to Hogwarts.
Albert lived a not atypical life. He would go to school, he had a few good friends, and was a generally fun-loving kid with a curious streak. He was known by his friends as a quiet, yet smart person, and they regarded him as a very loyal friend. To many, he was a taciturn boy, who was quite honest, and most of his class knew him as such. Before discovering his magical powers, Albert enjoyed architecture, and when he arrived at Hogwarts found it quite amazing.
Albert's magic was discovered when his peers and teachers began to notice the fact that he had a deviated carotid, a congenital condition that is dangerous in some, but purely an aesthetic issue for him. When caught in a lie, the teacher called him out in front of other students, after a terribly boring lecture in semantics. The other students, bored, had finally found something titillating to speak about. Soon the whole class was laughing, as Albert had a strong reputation for being honest. Theories were posited, conjectures made about what the lie was covering up, some of which were unsavory, to say the least. Albert had enough. In a moment of pure rage, shaking his hands and yelling, he managed to break the teacher's desk clean in half - without touching it. Nobody was severely injured, although the teacher sustained a contusion, but for an hour, the incident was the talk of the school. Thankfully, Albert did not have to live with his peers knowing about this moment, since the Ministry of Magic sent Obliviators to erase the memories of the events that had transpired.
Albert's purist father was overjoyed after hearing about the incident from his son. He began to tell Albert about all the wonderous experiences that he had been a part of, by possessing magical capabilities. His mother, on the other hand, was horrified that Albert could do "devilish acts". Albert wasn't sure if it was because she was Orthodox or simply out of muggle fear.
Since a young age, Albert's father had driven a split between Albert and his mother. It had started out as arguments, and soon progressed to fights. Albert found it easier to walk the path of least resistance, and side with his father. As such, when it came to magic, he would tell his mother off, with a strong, commanding voice, and go speak to his dad.
When Hogwarts owled Albert, both him and his dad were overjoyed. He had dreamed of becoming a Slytherin, but the ratty hat which he had donned in the Sorting Ceremony deemed him a Ravenclaw. Initially dejected, he decided to make the best of his Situation. He made a few friends, attended a few events, and roamed the grounds looking for fun, trouble, or food.
He hopes to Excel in school.
