History/Background Story:
Clay McGlinchy was born in London, England on May 17th, 2008. Her parents were muggles named Ariella and Carston McGlinchy. Her mother passed away in a car accident when she was four and because her father couldn't be found, she was adopted by her grandmother, Rubi Rasgado. The elderly woman, closing seventy, is a Half Spanish and Half-African muggle who is bedridden. She's also the guardian of Clay's older cousin Keylon Harrell, who's a Slytherin in his third year. His mother is a muggle while his father, her uncle is Wizard-Born. Keylon's mother died in the same car crash as Clay's mother, and his father isn't fit to take care of a child at the moment. Clay and Keylon both went to muggle public school together (Clay attended Catholic school for a year but hated it, so she switched schools).

Her magic surfaced when she was six. She was at the beach and was underwater far past the limits of a normal human being, closing twenty minutes without even realizing it. Even though her grandmother noticed, the whole thing was quickly forgotten until her cousin showed signs of magic, too. Now her muggle grandmother knows and when asked she tells others that her grandchildren are at a special private school, which is almost accurate.

Clay is a proud and sometimes pompous girl who always sticks up for what's rights and what's true. She's nosey, getting into other people's business, but it's all well-intentioned. It's hard for her to control her curiosity so she's sometimes found in the most unusual situations, just for the sake of being. She has an incredibly brave souls and it's hard for her to back down from what she truly believes in, because she will come at you with the force of a thousand hurricanes, at least with her will. She enjoys a good laugh and will try to lighten up the mood often, sometimes with her bad sarcasm and jokes. Clay is often seen as a good friend because she always defends those who can't or won't defend themselves, forgetting to look after herself as well.

She loves creepy things like horror movies, scary games, spiders, snakes, and the dark. But she hates when it's too quiet (she can only tolerate it so long in the movies). She likes long distance running and dancing.
