Alexa Mackenzie: Hufflepuff, Third year

History/Background Story: Alexa was born in Inverness, Scotland, and grew up in the Highlands of Scotland outside of Inverness on a small family farm. She is comfortable therefore with animals, perhaps more so than people, being an only child.
Her parents are Alexander Mackenzie, a banker, and Clare Mackenzie (originally an English citizen), who taught young students at the local country school that Alexa originally attended. Her parents tend to fight a lot with one another, but they both love their daughter dearly. She is the one thing that keeps them together.
Alexa is highly loyal to the one she loves, but terribly shy. She is very smart, and usually has the right answer to a professor’s questions, but rarely offers them forth, due to said shyness. A chocolate aficionado, she has a serious sweet tooth. The only time she is not shy (at least after about the time she turned nine) is when she sees someone being bullied. She automatically stands up to the bully, though it makes her weak at the knees to do so. She is usually very quiet for a long time after such a confrontation.
As stated, Alexa grew up on a farm, so she is very familiar with chores and hard work. She attended the local school her mother taught at, where she made only one friend: Margaret McDonald, another Highland Scot. They were friends from the time they were very little, as their mothers were friends and spent much time together when the girls were babies. Still, even though she had a close friend, Alexa spent much of her time on her own, roving over the hills, and exploring the Highlands.
The first time Alexa performed unintentional underaged magic was when she was being chased by a bully when she was eight years old. They were in the school playground, and she disappeared in one moment and seemingly reappeared in the same moment across the street from the school. The incident frightened her greatly, and while she got in trouble with her teachers for “leaving the school grounds,” she eventually put the traumatizing moment behind her.
The second time she performed magic was when she was 10 years old. She was at the dinner table with her parents, and they were fighting viciously. Alexa grew very upset and distraught, and the turkey in the center of the table for their evening meal exploded. Her parents were of course shocked, but it never occurred to them to attribute the event to Alexa. She, however, knew that she had been the one to destroy the turkey. How she knew, she wasn’t sure. She was just positive that she had done it, somehow.
And then on her 11th birthday in the summer of 2020 she received a special letter…
Her first year at Hogwarts was surprisingly smooth. She became friends with Alina Rosier and Clifton Troublefield particularly, her housemates, and had a few adventures with them and others. She even visited Alina and had the pair visit her over the summer.
In her second year at Hogwarts, Alina left for another school, Clifton disappeared unexpectedly without saying goodbye, her parents (not really surprising anyone) divorced and sold Alexa's beloved farm, which she had expected to inherit. This was all toward the beginning of the year, and the emotional turmoil made her feel almost unwelcome at Hogwarts. She found solace in her new pet rat Rascal, the dueling team, her still good friend Lucia Fox, a new friend Simon, and her absolute new best friend Henry Knight. This young werewolf, whom she soon found she had a crush on, captured her heart, but did not seem to know it himself. It wasn't until the end of the year when they declared their feelings for one another.
Then the summer began, and Alexa's mother became dreadfully sick…
