Dealla is, most of the time, a whirlwind of energy. She loves talking, and exploring, and in her mind, a day in which she did not meet someone new, or try or learn something new, is a wasted day. She has an infectious sort of energy, and a mouth that gets the best of her sometimes - some times too often, her mother would say. Dee thrives in company, but does not do well with being ignored, and can have quite a temper when someone pokes at the right spots. You'll always know where you stand with her, though, she won't hesitate to let you know.

The sky is the limit where Dee is concerned. She has big ideas, and does not really care if others think they're impossible, or even that she herself only has vague plans on how she will get there - or even what exactly her goal is. She will make it, that's all that matters, but that is one certainty she won't let go of. She can come up with grande plans and adventures, ideas and pictures, in the space of a few seconds, and she'll take you along on her journey if you'll let her.

When push comes to shove, Dealla will always act on what she feels is right, rather than what reason tells her to do. Over the years she has learned to trust her instincts, they rarely led her astray. Sometimes her ambition can overshadow her more compassionate sides, even if she might regret it later. Even though she tends to follow her heart over her brain, rationality will always have at least some part in her decisions.

Dealla likes adventures - the impossible - the unpredictable. She is spontaneous, open to sudden opportunities, and will rather turn an unforeseen situation to her advantage than plan everything to make sure that something will happen the way she wanted it. Her inquisitiveness might drive her to jump head-first into things she has not thought through - or even thought about at all. Yet over the years, experience has taught her that sometimes, it might be better to stop and think, if just for a moment.

Dealla is confident almost to the point of arrogance, although she would say that she just knows her own strengths. She is aware that she has faults - though maybe not of all of them - and that she makes mistakes, but she does not tend to dwell on or regret them for long, but rather accepts that this is the way things are, or decides to just do better next time. She has a way of thinking that everything will, in the end, turn out the way she wants it to, if by pure stubbornness. While in the past, this confidence was based on ignorance, over the year it has grown on knowledge of her own skill.

At seventeen, Dealla has grown to be about average height, coming up at around 165 cm. (Aly calls her a giant sometimes, but it's not Dee's fault that her best mate is barely over goblin height). She's more lean than scrawny these days, but definitely still skinny. What was once childish roundness in her features has melted into more defined shapes, leaving her with an angular, expressive face, which matches her intense energy. Her skin usually sports a slight tan in summer - at least when she remembered to apply her mother's infamous home-brewed Sun Protection Paste. When provided with enough sun exposure, a thin dusting of freckles appears on her nose, barely visible if you're not very close. The scrapes and bruises that were a constant companion during her younger years have grown rarer, and now mostly stem from falling off her broom or skimming past trees a little too closely during racing training. (Sometimes, however, she still goes on research excursions, that will inevitably still end up in grass stains on her clothing and scraped elbows.)

Dealla inherited her father's full, thick hair, but her mother's colouring - what used to be bronze brown hair has deepened in tone over the years, and comes down almost to her waist in natural waves. Her amazing hair quality is one of the few things in her looks that Dealla inherited from Jonathan and he won't let Alexandra or her frizzy hair ever forget that. However, the one feature that will probably stay in most people's minds when thinking about Dealla, are her piercing, aquamarine coloured eyes, which tend to sparkle brightly with whatever emotion she is currently feeling - often excitement, mischief, or ambition, more rarely anger. There is a tiny scar under her left eyebrow, barely visible, and if you were to ask her about its origin, she would be more likely to tell you a wild tale than the truth.

THE PARENTS.

- Alexandra PRINCE Muggleborn Hufflepuff -- Alexandra's most defining qualities are being... calm. Eerily so, according to some, although Jonathan never thought so - after all, she'd set him on fire the first time they'd met. Usually, however, Alexandra is rational and kind. She was raised to be an independent and sensible person by her Muggle parents, and never lost that. Although not the most vocal person, she can easily hold her own against her husband's teasing. She loves brewing potions and coming up with her own concoctions - some of which have had disastrous results over the years. - - Jonathan CREEK Pureblood Slytherin -- Jonathan is, in his essence, a free spirit. Mischievous, always full of laughter, and always up for causing trouble. He was raised in the strict confines of his pure-blood family, to the belief that pure-blooded wizards were something above everyone else, and that he ought to look down on those of impure blood. Meeting Alexandra changed his entire world, and he fought tooth and nail to keep her. After leaving London, he never looked back, or regretted his actions.

THE GRANDPARENTS.

Rosalie Creek is the mind and heart of the Creek family. Despite having married into it, she quickly took over most of the family's operations, and runs the Creek manor on the side. She's poised and controlled, and knows the effect of her words and actions on others, and how to best make use of them. Her son falling for a muggleborn had not been in her plans, however, and driving him away with her ultimatum had been a miscalculation - one she tries to fix by bringing Dealla back into the family. Her regret about missing the first decade of her granddaughter's life is genuine, however. --- - Rosalie CREEK Pureblood Ravenclaw - Hayden Creek is the patriarch of the Creek family. Born and raised a pureblood, he is set in his ways and highly traditional, and married Rosalie for her breeding and intelligence more than love - a choice that paid off and leaves him free to do as he wants while she takes care of family and business. He has a very clear picture in mind of what his heir should look like, and Dealla challenges his expectations in more ways than one. Their relationship has been strained from the start, and culminated in a fight that caused Dealla to break off contact once again, doing what she could to spite him on her way out. --- - Hayden CREEK Pureblood Slytherin

Being the result of the very scandalous relationship between the last heir of the old, honourable and very stuck-up pureblood line of the family Creek and - of all people! - a muggleborn witch called Alexandra Prince, Dealla’s entrance into the wizarding world was bound to be interesting, to say the least. Her father, Jonathan Creek, had been expected to be the obedient, loyal, family ideals upholding son her grandparents had raised him as - but then he graduated from school, chose to become a healer, and strictly refused to marry the suitable pure-blooded girl his parents had chosen for him. Instead, he had a daughter with Alexandra - illegitimately, to top things off! So, Dealla’s childhood was rather normal - if your paternal grandparents, who you have never met, using all their considerable connections in the wizarding world to make life difficult for your parents and force your father to leave you and your mother and return to them can be considered normal. But her parents persevered, and that aside, her life was peaceful. Thus far. Upon entering Hogwarts, Dealla was a petite girl with a mouth that got the best of her sometimes - some times too often, her mother would say. She grew up in a town near the coast called Whitehaven, in England, which is predominantly inhabited by Muggles, since her father’s parents made her family’s life in the wizarding world rather hard. So, instead of struggling to find a job as a healer in London, he moved his family across the country to start anew in a place where his parents' web was not as tight. This, of course, also meant leaving everything else, including their friends, whose children Dealla might have grown up with in a different world. Instead, she spent her childhood mostly around Muggles, went to a Muggle school, and made both Muggle friends and enemies, as most children do. Still, she grew up with magic being used around the house to clean, to cook, and to make things easier in general, and with her mother humming to herself while meticulously stirring ingredients into her newest batch of Calming Draught or Burning Bitterroot Balm - which Dealla both detested and needed much too regularly. She used to sit by her mother's side, sometimes, pointing at and naming the diverse ingredients, and earning affectionate smiles in return. She should like to brew potions herself in the future, she used to think. More exciting ones, of course. Needless to say, Dealla was always aware of magic, and her parents had their hands full trying to keep their neighbors from becoming just as aware when, at the age of 6, Dealla’s magic started manifesting in temper tantrums that, on one occasion, turned their cat blue. The neighbors stayed blissfully unaware, in the end. The cat stayed blue. By the time her letter from Hogwarts arrived, Dealla had been burning to go and get her own wand, learn how to do her own potions and magic, for almost two years. She'd fit in there, she just knew. She would excel. Although she had expected to be sorted into Slytherin, Ravenclaw would do just fine. Much better than Gryffindor, at least.

She is not a big fan of her name, by the way. You can call her Dee.

AT HOGWARTS

Dee's time at Hogwarts started off nearly perfectly. Despite not getting into her preferred House, she quickly found her place in Ravenclaw, made a best friend and a multitude of acquaintances, and busied herself excelling in class and exploring every secret the castle had to offer. It was only towards the end of the year that things were shaken up - a ball in flames, a disastrous trip into the Forbidden Forest, and a letter from her grandparents that shook her world to the core.

After a summer of meeting terrorists in burning bookstores, her second year saw Dee throwing everything she had into extracurricular activities. Appointed captain of the duelling team and prefect, she also joined the Headliner - all of which was, of course, entirely unrelated to her grandparents' inexplicable knowledge of her school activities. And yet, instead of telling them where to shove it, she ended up replying to their letters.

Returning from a summer spent with her grandparents, Dee's third year was shadowed by fear of having alienated her dad for good. It also saw her campaigning for mixed race rights, and in the greenhouses, being gifted flowers by Jack Warren who after months of flirting ended up being Dee's first boyfriend. At summer camp, I love you's were exchanged - unknowing that this would be their last truly happy moment.

In her fourth year, Dee learned that maybe a group of 13 year olds were not enough to outsmart a hag. After an ill-advised blood donation and a magical coma, Dee had to watch her boyfriend turn into someone she barely recognised, and they broke up just before summer break. As she'd dropped prefect and captain in an angry fit at her grandparents, she ended the year having lost almost everything she cared about.

The beginning of Dee's fifth year was mostly spent avoiding Jack, and leaning heavily on Aly and Pericles as her moral support. Luckily, the upcoming O.W.L.s provided her with an excuse to bury herself in her schoolwork. After leaving the duelling team in an attempt to regain control of her life, the school year ended in a traumatising ball that removed Jack from her life, and the school, for good - and it was Dee's fault.

Her sixth year was spent rebuilding. Madhup helped with that - her summer flirt turned rebound turned boyfriend - as did her blooming love for broom racing, and winning the International Potions Championship with her two closest friends. Nightmares grew more rare, and Dee was almost feeling okay again when Jack returned, exactly a year after she'd watched him collapse on the Quidditch pitch.

Aly is Dee's best friend, her ride or die, the one person she'd do anything for, no questions asked - including setting people on fire. (Been there, done that.) Peri was Dee's first duelling partner, and that is how she'll always feel about him - someone to rely on, who will have her back when she needs him, and exactly who she wants at her side when things get tough. They broke up when Jack's anger and jealousy made him almost unrecognisable, caused by a hag curse neither of them was aware of.
