The tent was big – far bigger on the inside, obviously, but also curiously not in the same shape inside, the proportions were off. However, that was hardly something most wizards would take notice of – it was expected of an enchanted wizarding tent, after all.

The inside was cozy. The front part was littered with pillows and some chairs for people to relax, as well as a big dining table in the middle. For this event, the dining table would most likely not be needed in its intended purpose but it would suffice as a desk or a table for a game of cards, whatever the tent's occupants wanted to do. The back half of the tent was where the bedrooms were located, as well as a few sofas.

During the evening the tent was lit by the warm glow of magical flames inside the large glass jars, but during the day the enchantments on the tent simulated the quiet strength of daylight lighting up the interior. The temperature inside stayed the same during day and night, and while people might describe said temperature different, each person would feel it to be their perfect preferred and most comfortable temperature. It was a wizarding tent after all.

RPing as Milena Sergejevna Orlova

Mentions: Alisa Sokolova [@Edric Banes]
Milena could not help but be the slightest big apprehensive, not that she would ever show it. But while her Pure-Blood upbringing taught her to always stay aloof, stoic and impenetrable in the face of insecurity or nervousness, it did not prevent her from feeling such. Meeting so many new people as she probably would over these two-and-a-half, almost three weeks … it was a bit daunting. And unlike when she had started at Durmstrang, most of them would not even speak her mother tongue and she would have to converse with them in English. Her English wasn't bad, but it also was good enough for her to be actually comfortable with it – and it was something else to speak with someone in their mother language as compared to someone else also learning the language … But first things first.

That was a problem for tomorrow's Milena. Today she didn't have to interact with anyone not from Durmstrang yet, as this was a day for them to settle in. While she was glad for the reprieve, she still needed to find her tent. She only knew that she was to be in the same tent as Alisa, but she didn't know which tent nor did she know if any others would join them. Her siblings – the twins – were all paired up with their own friends or acquaintances, so she knew that they wouldn't share a tent but that was the extent of it. Secretly, she was glad. While she had nothing particularly against rooming with Ivan or Olga, as annoying as that could have been, Pavel and Fyodor seemed to be going through a phase of driving everyone to distraction. She loved her younger brothers but she did not want to have to take responsibility for their current antics even remotely.

So, yes, she was glad to know that that tent was not her tent, but that brought her no closer to-- Ah. This was it. On the outside the tent seemed a bit drab, but the outside hardly mattered. As it was enchanted, the inside promised to be vastly different, after all. Staving off the urge to take a deep fortifying breath, Milena confidently stepped toward the tent flap and entered what would be their domain for the foreseeable future.

She was not quite sure what she had expected but the interior was less stern than she would have thought. It wasn't as colourful as some had speculated the Hogwarts tents might be, but it was less severe than Ivan had described his classmate's family's tent at the last Quidditch World Cup. This promised to be cozy and comfortable and she was looking forward to spending their time here.

Being the first and so far seemingly only person in the tent, she made her way through the pillow area at the entrance and past the 'dining room', to choose one of the beds in the sleeping area to claim as hers and to put her things away so that they would not get in the way of whatever she and her tentmates would get up to on their first day before returning to the main area to wait for the rest to arrive.
