Capture the Base
»»————- ⚜ ————-««
It was quite the sweltering day, the hot sun blazing blindingly in the cerulean sky and battering relentlessly upon the participants of the Hogwarts Summer Camp as they traversed about the London Quidditch Stadium, the towering stands doing little to protect the young children from its cutting golden rays. Summer, as it seemed, had officially arrived at England, and with it, a whole new plethora of weather far divergent to the typical cool temperatures of the Spring and Fall – and it was far from welcome. At a scorching 28 degrees Celsius [for our American users, 84 Farenheit], the partakers would surely feel the heat, and for those without sunscreen, the sunburn that would riddle their skin, should one spend too much time on the grounds. Mother Nature was in no cheery spirit – without a tree in sight, nor cloud in the sky, the only protection from the sunlight would be in the cover of a tent, whether it be for living space or recreational use. Thankfully, there was a form of shelter for those wishing to partake in the day’s activity.
After all, it was July the 4th – American Independence Day. Or, as they European campers referred to it, Saturday. More specifically, it was the date Rafael had chosen to host an exciting game, his motives more than obvious to his fellow campers – it was about time everyone learned what school was the best. Because, to be completely honest, he’d long since anticipated the pride that seemed to trail every group of Americans and Russians that had ever existed. While there was no question in his mind that Hogwarts was, in fact, the best school, he definitely wanted to offer his classmates the chance to prove that to everyone else. Capture the Base, the itinerary read, the same game that Tyranni and he had spent days strategizing the mechanics of over owl. A game of risk, athleticism, and strategy. A real shame he wouldn’t be able to help his team, but it was a risk he was willing to take, if it meant the betterment of his school’s name.
Anyone who turned their eyes to the calls of the Gryffindor Quidditch Captain, would immediately notice the change of scenery – or, more specifically, the assortment of tents decorating the field, the sort of tents one would see at a cross-country meet or bonfire get-together. A small portion of the stadium had been allotted towards a playing field, the diameter marked by tape, the area having been split into seven zones, each containing about 30 yards’ worth of area. Within each zone, there would be a canopy tent, enough to shelter up to ten people, as well as a bench sitting on the outside of the tent’s diameter, a designated ‘jail’. In each tent, there would be a white flag hanging from the rafters, a sign that the area was unclaimed – the other flags would be sitting on the benches of each base, gold for Hogwarts, red for Ilvermorny, and a light blue for Durmstrang. The playing field was neat and tidy, though no one expected this to last. After all, they were dealing with 11 year olds. Nothing stayed organized.
The Captain in question was standing on a pedestal on the left of the game area, a pair of shades on his face and a vintage megaphone in-hand as he paced the length of the commentators’ area set up in the hour before. He was, admittingly, dressed quite vibrantly – a Magnum-PI-style Hawaiian shirt on his torso, and sun-bleached jean shorts loose on his legs, he must have looked quite a sight, and not the kind one typically saw in the corridors of Hogwarts. It was hot, who could blame him? And standing right beside him, was Tyranni, once again adorned in warpaint. The Slytherin Captain did not disappoint in emanating the ferociousness that was known to follow those from House Slytherin, black paint spread across her face. The rest of her ensemble would consist of a simple back tank, worn grey shorts and black converse sneakers, hair pulled back into a series of braids. In this heat, comfort trumped appearance. It would be both their duties to commentate and ref the match, and not in any particular order, as well as advertise to those who didn’t already know of the event that it was , in fact, happeninggoing on. Anyone up and at it would surely hear the voice of the male commentator – “Come one, everyone! It’s almost 11 in the morning, you all should be awake by now!” he would jeer aloud in his typical aggravated Argentine drawl. Then, “Capture the Base, starting in five!” It was, granted, pretty early in the day, and they were all growing children. He wouldn’t hold it against them if they were sleepy. But he would be upset if they ignored his awesome game.
Students from all three schools began to crowd around the two young Captains in charge of running this event. Raising the megaphone up, the young girl would speak. "Welcome and thank you for joining. Listen up carefully because I will not repeat this again. The game we are about to start is Capture the Base as announced by my partner Rafael. You will be playing for the honor of your school as friendly competition between all schools. Your goal is to capture as many bases, represented by tents, before the end of the game. To capture a base, you must enter and replace the neutral white flag with the colored flag designated for your school. Hogwarts students, your flag is gold. Ilvermorny, red. Durmstrang, you are light blue. Do not forget these colors, as we will not remind you again. You are mistaken if you think this sounds simple. Any player can choose to guard a base, defending one claimed for their team. Be warned. These guards can attempt to capture an enemy, taking them as "prisoner" where they will be forced to remain at the base. If you are caught, an ally can choose to save you at the risk of their own life. Only one guard is allowed per tent. Any players caught attempting to bypass this rule will be punished."
The boy would glance over at Tyr, partially disgusted by the rules she’d just spouted out. Oh, well, it was necessary, he supposed. Bringing the vintage megaphone back up to his lips, he began enunciating once more – “I should probably add, as well, we’ve been given instruction to be those ruthless, lame refs.” They hadn’t – but it was fair, at least. And, anyways, the boy’d made some friends from other schools, which meant that he was more than biased. It was easier to level the playing field, be fair to everyone. “So, you’d better refrain from cheating, yeah? Or, you know, don’t get caught.” All was fair in love and war, so he wouldn’t hold it against anyone if they decided to pull a sneaky move. All that aside, his finger jutted towards the beginning of the field, specifically towards the solid line of white marking the diameter of the field. “Everyone starts behind the tape. On my mark.”
“Let the games begin!”
Capture the Base
Welcome to Capture the Base! To those wishing to participate in this activity, the game is a mix between the Mobile game Ingress and outdoor game Capture the Flag – essentially, the teams will be divided into three, the affiliations being Hogwarts, Durmstrang, and Ilvermorny. There will be seven zones with three tents or ‘bases’ to assure a clear winner. Make sure to read through the rules and actions before joining. And, more importantly, have a fun game!
━━Actions━━
Capture Base
IC: You want your hands on a base? This is the best way to get it! When executing this action, one would attempt to run through a base’s tent and try to steal the flag in the center. However, this is harder than it looks, as one would have to avoid the clutches of all defending the base…
OOC: This would be rolled as offensive [captor] evasion versus defensive [guards] accuracy. Note that anyone partaking in a @Guard Base action will be on the defensive team, and therefore, there would need to be a roll for each of these players. A successful offensive roll would result in the capture of the base for their team and the imprisonment of all guards defending the base, whereas a successful defensive roll will result in the imprisonment of the captor.
Save Ally
IC: Oh, no! Your friend’s been tagged. Well, thankfully, there’s a way to free them – all prisoners are asked to sit on benches outside the base’s tent, guarded by an appointed ‘prison guard’. To rescue a friend, all it takes is sneaking past him…
OOC: This would be rolled with defensive accuracy [prison guard] versus offensive evasion [savior]. A successful offensive roll will result in the freedom of the savior’s choosing, whereas a successful defensive roll will result in the savior’s imprisonment.
Guard Base
IC: Rather than choose to attack another base, you decide to play it safe, defend a base of your own.
OOC: Depending on the actions of offensive players, this can be a void action. In the case that this needs to be rolled, it would be defending [guard] accuracy versus offensive evasion. A successful offensive roll would result in the capture of the base for their team and the imprisonment of all guards defending the base, whereas a successful defensive roll will result in the imprisonment of the captor.
Guard Prisoners [There can only be one per base]
IC: Someone has to watch the prisoners, keep them from escaping.
OOC: This would be rolled with defending [prison guard] accuracy versus offensive [savior] evasion. A successful offensive roll will result in the freedom of the savior’s choosing, whereas a successful defensive roll will result in the savior’s imprisonment.
Cheat Moves
IC: You have malice in your heart, and have the intent to bypass the rules for your team. Well, you’re in luck – moderation is allowing cheat moves! Whatever your heart desires, you may put it into action! However, best be careful – if caught cheating, there will be consequences!
OOC: Rolls will vary depending on the course of action taken. Cheating system will be in use.
━━Technicalities and Additional Notes━━
I. Unclaimed Bases – In the case that a base is unclaimed, there would be a contested accuracy roll between all people trying to claim the base. The highest roll would claim the base for their team. The only exception for this would be, in the case that only one person is trying to claim an unclaimed base, in which they will by default gain possession for their team. Subsequently, anyone who is attempting to claim a base and fails to a member of another team, automatically becomes a prisoner of said base.
II. Unguarded Prisoners – In the case that a prison is left unguarded, the ‘Save an Ally’ option will be risk-free, and one attempting to save an ally will be able to succeed without worrying about a player tagging them.
III. Appointing Prison Guards – This is first come, first serve. There can only be one per base. A player cannot lose this role unless they are inactive for a moderation round or willingly give it up to partake in another action.
IV. Multiple Attempts on a Base – Say multiple people are trying to capture the same base. There can be no divided attention, which means each player will have a roll to decide who they will be defending the base from.
V. Jailbreak – There will be a jailbreak every three rounds. This is to ensure that players remain immersed in the game, even if their PCs/NPCs are apprehended by the other team.
VI. Defecting – Those participating cannot defect from their school’s team. There will be no awareness roll, nor will there be a roll to see if the attempt works. You will immediately be suspended from the activity. Having friends on other teams is fine, but the point of this game is to see which school wins. As such, please represent your PC/NPC’s school to the best of your ability.
VII. One Char Per Team – Players with iNPCs have to choose whether their main or NPC participates. It cannot be both. Though it’s your decision, what character you use, we strongly advise you use your NPC over your PC in this game, as there are fewer of these.
━━How To Join━━
Sign-ups are open from today until the 14th of July [this is also the date of the first round of moderation]. To officially join, you must post a 200-Word RP below - this is the beginning of the game, so make sure to choose an action. At the end of every post you make, please put your stats and abilities [or the stats and abilities of your dNPC]. These are pre-grad stats and abilities. Don't try to cheat and/or change anything, we check. Remember, you may only have one character in the game!
Positions are limited - at the moment, we're only allowing ten people from each school to join. This game will have 108 moderation rounds, taking place on Tuesday every week - although, if there's additional interest, we'll host another game in August, so if you can't make it, there will be ample chances to play in the future!
May the Best School Win!

Capture the Base
The game was about to begin.
Capture the base was a game May had played many times and never failed to win (in her eyes, of course). She felt a swoop of fun, excitement, and her stomach rumbling because she hadn't eaten any food earlier. Still she looked at @Rafael D'spacito as he explained the game. It was easy, to be fair, but still, (in the end, she didn't feel that it was going to be very easy) she felt like she was someone made to run and find.
She was going, of course, to team up with Hogwarts. Drumstrang and Ilvermorny thought they were the best, but May knew that Hogwarts was the best school that has ever existed. The most brave, loyal, intelligent and cunning of them all, still, she couldn't help but feeling like she felt when they had announced the match. She got out of her tent. She was already awake since 5 a.m and she felt more than full of energy. She wanted to find someone to stick up with her in the flag search. So that nothing would happen to her, still, she would be ok alone. All alone.
She stretched as Tryanni told them how to play. Friendly. What a odd word. Still, she smirked and was ready. She was going to capture the flag with Hogwarts.

Alexei's outfitAlexei was liking all this travel and newness far more than he'd expected to. It was warmer than Russia, and more importantly, there were loads of pretty girls who had yet to get to know him. That second part was what had him in such a good mood. Pretty much the entire female population of Durmstrang knew that Alexei was generally someone to be avoided, on account of his supposed "player" behavior. He really didn't see it, but somehow every single girl did. Here though, none of the girls knew him and they were even prettier than the ones back home. In short, Alexei was in paradise.
The boy wore a light grey shirt, paired with black jeans and sunglasses. Unusually casual for him, but he still managed to pull it off. Crossing his muscular arms, he approached the group that was playing some nonsense game. He wasn't particularly interested in the game itself, the chance to show his athletic prowess was more the reason he was there.
Some kozyol (Rafael) was shouting nonsense about how they ought not get caught cheating. That seemed to go without saying, but maybe that boy was a complete idiot. "Please, less rules talking, more game, Zasranets," he snapped, rather irritable due to his lack of coffee. He had only picked it up around Christmas due to a girl who had visited and been utterly obsessed, but now he couldn't start the day without one.
Still, despite his lack of caffeine, he was ready to win this, or at least show off for all the pretty Hogwarts girls.

═ ∘◦❦◦∘ ═Lizzie had been awake for hours. She was so excited to play Capture the Flag. Honestly, she had never played it before and to her predictions neither ad anyone else at Hogwarts so it was a pretty new thing. She had literally no idea about any of the other schools though. It was probably one of those things that Dumstrang did on a daily basis but how on earth would the Ravenclaw know that other than going up to someone and bluntly asking them.
She bounded out of her tent hopefully not waking anyone up and took a deep breath before running over to the area where the games were going to be held. Lizzie looked around quickly trying to find anyone she knew but it seemed like she was one of the first there. The blonde grinned knowing that she would get a spot on one of the teams and not be left out. It was always better to be early then late.
She stood bouncing up and down on here heels and bit on one of her nails. She was pretty nervous. Lizzie did not want to mess up and become the laughing stock of Hogwarts. That would not be an option. It was either she won making Hogwarts proud or they lost but could not blame the blonde bimbo girl.
“Let the games begin!” She heard Roo shout which made her a bit startled. She actually had not even bothered to listen to what they were saying. Just another habit of the aspiring musician that defiantly needed to be broken. It was literally making her fall behind on all her classes and the gossip around school.
She jumped up and pushed her arms into the air releasing a big, “Yay! Go Roo!” It was final time that the game would start. She knew it was going to be good and nothing would put her mood down in the gutter. It was either going to be in the sky or she would just be off the ground a little bit.
Not really knowing what to do, she just walked over towards the area that most of the Hogwarts students had congregated. Some must have listened as it wouldn’t be very helpful if their whole team had not listened to the beautiful Rafael or Tyranni [whom she had not had the pleasure off meeting yet].
Lizzie stood at the entrance of the tent while deciding it was probably for the best if she stayed back and defended the base rather than risk being captured at another base. She crossed her arms a bit and started to wait for anything to start happening. It would not be that much of a surprise if the whole of the Hogwarts group [other than Lizzie] ran into action since they did have a lot of situations during the school where they needed to be brave and not cry-babies like lots of people.═ ∘◦❦◦∘ ═

Edited to specify which base I was going for.The July sun was extremely hot that morning, burning Lydia's skin as she walked towards the other students that had gathered around Rafael and another girl from their school. The red headed girl was feeling particularly excited, she loved running and playing outside, so Capture the Base sounded like the perfect game for a sunny summer morning. Her hair captured into a high ponytail, the girl had chosen a particularly comfortable outfit, a pair of short and a sleeveless top, with a pair of blank ankle Converse on her feet. She looked around, to check if Aaron had decided to come to the game in the end, but so far, she could not see him. Lydia turned her attention back on Rafael and the other girl, as she tried not to stare too much at the boy - after all, he looked quite cool, with his glasses and the Hawaiian shirt.
The rules were quite easy to remember, just like the colour of Hogwarts' flags, while the others were red for the American school, and light-blue for the Russian one. As she looked around, the girl could see a lot of new faces, and if only this wouldn't have been a better of school honour, she would have definitely been more keen to make friends. But that could wait until after the game.
The closer it got to the start of the game, the more excited Lydia felt; her left foot kept tapping on the ground, as her adrenaline ached to be let out. Usually during summer, the red headed girl would take long walks and runs along the beach back home, already early in the morning where not a lot of people and tourists were around. That was something that she had missed, both at Hogwarts and at the Summer Camp, but now that there was the opportunity to let out some of that built up energy, the girl couldn't wait. "Come on, we can do this!" she shouted, feeling the excitement all around her.
Lydia walked towards Lizzie and gave her tent-mate a smile. "This is so exciting!" she said, as she moved from one foot to the other, already knowing what she would have done the moment that everyone would have started running. She would have tried to claim a base as fast as she could, after all, Hogwarts needed to win.

Capture the Base
Playing as Ilvermorny iNPC Phylicia Stanwood
The 4th of July was here and to say Phyllis was excited would be an understatement. Not because it was the American Independence Day, though. Kind of hard to be too hyped about that when you grew up in London and currently resided in Canada. But for the Capture the Base game she was nothing short of ecstatic. Phyllis was always down for competition, especially inter-school competition. Time to kick Hogwarts and Durmstrang butt.
"KK, come oooonn. We're gonna be late," she moaned to her best friend, bouncing up and down on the balls of her sneakers. How was it she woke up hours ago and was still almost going to be late for quite possibly the best part of camp? If Karilyna took any longer to tie her shoes Phyllis was going to carry her to the game. And there went the five minute warning. Finally they were out the tent door and sprinting towards the Quidditch Stadium.
It was hot. Sooooo hot and she hated it. Her hair being up in a ponytail provided some relief, at least, but having next to no knowledge of the Muggle world she'd never even heard the word 'sunscreen' before. No way she wasn't coming out of this with a sunburn. It wasn't like she cared, though: the spontaneous Thunderbird would do just about anything for a fun time like this game promised.
They were here, and not a moment too soon. A girl in black face paint was explaining the rules and for once Phyllis took care to listen. And then, finally, the game started.
Phyllis was not the most competitive person, at least outside of Quidditch, and winning or losing the game didn't really matter to her all that much. What mattered was having fun. She'd still try to help Ilvermorny take the win today, though, so as soon as the game began she raced off towards one of the tents. She would go for the red flag and try to replace the white one with it. This tent was going to be Ilvermorny's if she had any say in it.

With no sign of the relentless July heat letting up any time soon, Dolf had tried everything to cool down. He'd stripped out of as much of his school uniform as possible, leaving a lump of robes, cloaks, and clasps behind in his tent. The sun was much more gentle on his dark t-shirt and shorts than it had been on his full Durmstrang attire, but comfort was still out of reach. His next plan had been to dump a few cups of cold water over his head, but while it had brought momentary relief, Dolf couldn't keep it up all day. It was a pain to refill his cup each time just to empty it a second later; plus, being wet and hot was starting to make him feel gross. With every failed strategy, the air was only getting hotter, and Dolf grew desperate enough to break away from the Durmstrang camp in search of a solution.
It wasn't long before his path crossed with a group of students clustered around a pedestal. Dolf's curiosity got the better of him and he broke away from the shadows he'd been hiding out in, striding across the stadium pitch and joining the back of the group. He was just in time to see an exotically-dressed boy make a loud announcement: “Capture the Base, starting in five!”
That was the point of no return. Dolf's previous quest was forgotten instantly as he tried to guess what he was about to see, finding little context in the name of the game. Although there was still sweat dripping down his forehead, the heat seemed more tolerable when he was actually doing something rather than just wandering around. The boy listened as a pair of students laid out the rules of the game, relieved to hear that they were more simple than he'd expected. He'd played some variation of this activity with his parents in Kyiv, although it had been much less formal, and they'd only had three people to work with. There were already five students in the crowd with more surely on their way — it had been hard to miss the advertisement shouted across the stadium.
As they moved into the standard warnings about cheating, Dolf was surprised to hear one of the players snap at the referees; he was even more surprised to hear a Russian insult thrown in with the caustic words. The only other boy in the crowd was apparently tired of waiting. Dolf couldn't identify him right away, but his face looked sort of familiar. He was definitely from Durmstrang. At the referee's instruction, the players lined up behind a piece of tape, and Dolf made sure he ended up next to the boy.
"Zasranets?" Dolf asked, raising an eyebrow. He grinned. "That was colorful. I hope you play as well as you trash-talk." He hoped that the other boy knew he was joking — he didn't want to alienate a teammate before the game even started. "Let's win this thing."
The male referee set them off with a shout and Dolf shot across the tape line, moving quickly for one of the unclaimed bases. That white flag was as good as his.

Capture the Base
── ❋ ──INTERACTIONS: @Lizzie Verdine
MENTIONS: @May Moonstar❋𝓐madea had made a deal with herself at the end of the year that she would try to start having more fun. It wasn't like she liked an unhappy life filled with monotony and boredom; life at Hogwarts couldn't be farther from that description. However, ever since coming back to Hogwarts, a sadness had loomed over Amadea's life - justifiably so - and she was tired of it. She wanted to start getting back out there again and not let the sadness control her every move. So that was why she had begun to start participating in more events that she normally wouldn't have. For instance, capture the base, which is what she was about to participate in now.
The thought of competing in these games with a bunch of students she didn't know was a terrifying prospect but she was determined to step out of her comfort zone. If she stayed inside of it forever, where would she be in life? Amadea listened as the rules were explained; while she had played the game before, it had been a while and she appreciated the refresher. She didn't recognize either of the students that were explaining the game, though she knew they went to Hogwarts but listened patiently. Then, she turned to survey who her teammates were. She spotted many other players from other schools and was able to sort out the Hogwarts students from the rest, but still didn't recognize many people. There was the first year who had played a gobstones game that Amadea had moderated [May] and another girl she vaguely recognized from the Welcome Barbeque [Lizzie] but otherwise, Amadea was clueless.
Normally, the thought of playing a game with a bunch of people she didn't know very well was terrifying. But she had a deal with herself and Amadea was not about to fall through. She sucked up her nerves and broke through the tape as the organizers yelled that the games had begun. It seemed like some other students were already playing on the offensive side, attempting to capture some of the bases, so Amadea drifted back to where another girl [Lizzie] was standing guarding the base. Maybe with two people guarding there would be less of a chance that someone would be able to capture it. "Hi!" Amadea greeted as she took her place, ready to guard the base. "Let's do this!"❋

The weather was particularly pleasant this morning in Arianas opinion. The sun beat down on the landscape of London, basking the girl in its warm, pleasant breath. The July sun in fact reminded her of Argentina and she wasn't at all fazed by the extraordinary heat- it was something she was used to after having grown up there. Nevertheless, the girl wore an outfit quite fitting for the weather; shorts and a loose t-shirt, her hair was down in natural beach waves and a pair of sunglasses sat daintily on her nose. Her white trainers reflected the shiny sunlight, the silver tips of the laces catching the light where they glinted, twinkling around as the gryffindor walked.
Capture the base seemed fun enough, exciting really, now that she thought about it. It would certainly include a lot of action, strategy, something the young girl was itching to get at during the summer. Well, they couldn't just sit around all day, could they? After all she couldn't pretend that she was terrible at this sort of activity. On the contrary it was one of her strengths, something she was quite good at.
However it was with a somewhat annoyed expression that the young beater approached the game that morning, glancing briefly around the site of the activity. Spotting Lizzie and Lydia standing together, she stalked her way in the girl’s direction. “What happened to waiting?! I was only putting my shoes on, i'm not that slow” She complained, nevertheless casting her fellow tent-mates a smile. Her complete disregard for anyone around her at first subsided, and she recognised several familiar faces among the gathering. Eyes strayed from where her cousin was hosting the event [alongside another girl], rocking the Hawaiian shirt he was wearing, to May, whom she gave a small wave, then to the Durmstrang boy she had met in the welcoming barbecue. Alexei was his name right?
“Let the games begin!
It was on and Ariana was prepared. A determined gleam rested in her eyes, she raced to guard a base, Hogwarts were going to win, she was sure of it. They needed to win. Arianas competitive spirit did not yield and she stood firmly by her chosen base guarding the place triumphantly. A grin was sent in Alexei’s direction, well of course he was playing for Durmstrang. “Hey Alexei!”She called out, “Watch hogwarts flatten your team, I suppose you are not used to this heat eh?” she teased. Well he'd see just how powerful the young gryffindor could be when it came to competitive games.

Cielle was not a morning person - the very opposite, actually - so when a random boy's yelling woke her up, she was pissed. [Speaking in NORWEGIAN] "What the fuck?" she growled, poking her head out of the tent to figure out who exactly was making such a horrific din. Oh, it was a boy. A very attractive boy, actually, but that didn't change the fact that he had woken her up with his yelling. And then she realised what he was actually yelling about - Capture the Base, the activity Cielle was looking forward to the most. In five minutes, did he say...? Shit, she was going to miss it! The Norwegian went back inside of her tent, cursing her body for being wired like this. She threw on whatever clothes came out of her bag first and tossed her hair into a high ponytail, popping a stick of minty gum into her mouth as she did so.
It was a beautiful day - the skies were clear and the sun was out - but it was so hot. Cielle fanned herself with her hand as she walked outside, suddenly grateful that the first clothing items at the top of her bag were shorts and a T-shirt. She was rather glad that she didn't have long hair to manage and keep out of her way, too, seeing as it would likely get all gross and sticky due to the summer weather. Faen1, was it always so hot here in England? If so, she was glad she had been born in Norway and went to Durmstrang, where it was basically winter all year 'round.
Cielle snorted as she overheard Alexei insult the pretty boy with the megaphone - although he would have no way of knowing, seeing as the insult was spoken in Russian. She snapped her gum loudly to get his attention before stopping to speak with him. [Speaking in RUSSIAN] "Don't be such a govnyuk2, Alexei," she said, smirking at him. Cielle didn't like Alexei - he was a sleezy drittsekk3 in her opinion, and she saw straight through his faker-than-plastic charms that he tried to use on every single girl he found even slightly pretty. "Besides, insulting someone in another language completely is so cowardly and, well, just plain embarrassing, honestly. Tell him what you think to his face and make sure he can understand, you pridurok4."
The Durmstrang student looked up at Pretty Megaphone Boy and grinned at him before proceeding to translate Alexei's previous words in near-perfect English. [Speaking in ENGLISH] "He just called you a motherfucker," Cielle informed him sweetly, before turning to Alexei one last time. [Speaking in RUSSIAN] "Have fun, svolotch5," and then she left to let the older boy clean up the mess he'd made with an impish grin on her face. The upside to living in a travelling circus was that she learnt many different languages along the way, and although she had never visited England or America before, many English-speaking tourists came to watch them perform, and so English had been a necessity for her to learn. In times like this, that skill was very useful.
