What is the First Rule...

Just outside the London Quidditch Stadium for three acres in every direction is a congregation of tents. Some small, humble edifices that once entered proved to be great canvas mansions. Others could be likened to small castles, grand and tall, but made of silken clothes with great banners unfurled. An ostentatious display most certainly, but some wizards liked to peacock.
This tent was somewhere in-between, navy blue with silver fastenings and two stories. It was a simple, but large tent. The front door was open only slightly, the tent had attracted a number of wizards young and old. The greatest concentration of interest around a young man sitting behind a wooden desk. A mere teenager but his expression was hard for a mere child. His green eyes vaguely familiar, they did not look particularly kind. Thin lips with a slight downward turn. His most striking feature was skin, it appeared a bit taut, as if the skin had been pulled over his face. It had an unnatural sheen as well, one would have thought a well-made mask if there was an obvious seam but there was none. That was in fact his face. The characteristic shine of a thick layer of lotion or perhaps an ointment. His hair covered with a hood, when the cloth covering fell back it would reveal a young man with dark splotching that looked hardly natural over part of his face.

"Thank you," he replied as he handed the teen a slip of paper. "Your number." The paper exchanged hands, and he would light the paper on fire. "The ring is in the basement. We start in an hour."[/b] The teen would nod with a simple bob of their head. It would be then that he would look at you, a glint in his eye, a spark of recollection perhaps. "I see you got an invitation, can I see it?" He would take the invitation from your hand if you shared it, the invitation being the cost of entry. He would hold it over a small lit candle before him. The invitation would ignite and the paper would howl. You would feel something sting your right arm, your deltoid in fact. If you looked at your shoulder you would see a brand on your upper arm. It was a number. Your number. [Your number would correlate with your post number in this thread, starting with the number 2.]

Opeila stood in the queue behind the young man's table, trying not to examine his face. Her father and grandmother would both scold her for being rude and Opeila liked to think of herself that she had some sort of good manners and only rarely ever forgot them.
When the teen in front of her was done, she moved on to the end of the queue, sending the man a little smile. He really didn't look normal. When he asked to see her invitation she nodded. "Yes, of course.", she said, handing it to him.
Interested she watched him burn the paper.
The brunette did not expect the pain that followed. She gasped quietly, her hand instinctively moving up to the source of the pain. Frowning she looked on her shoulder, that now had the number 2 on it.
Maybe it was ridiculous, but after everything that had happened in Hogwarts, having a number burned into her skin by a strange looking man made her feel uncomfortable.

The Welsh boy did not like the look in the kid's familiar green eyes; did not like the idea of being recognized when he himself could not recognize the kid. Still, Jack wordlessly handed over the invitation that was the sole reason he had come to the London Quidditch Stadium at all. The howling paper caused the redhead to jump, as did the sting on his upper arm when he hurriedly checked it.
What in the wizarding world...? He was apparently marked with a number '3'.
He touched it curiously, wondering if was permanently burned there. What the heck had he gotten himself into? Glancing up, he saw Opeila and his expression became even more grave.
No. What had they all gotten themselves into?

Having arrived alongside Opeila, the two of them stood in the line with the piece of paper clutched idly in their hands. Flash looked around himself nervously, he had no real reason to not to be suspicious, but he certainly couldn’t let Opeila do this alone. It was the end of the year after all, the Quidditch final was on the horizon and he had had nothing but tests and apprehension to deal with.
At least he was out and about, doing something. If he stood still too long, his thoughts would overtake him like an oncoming train. Most Slytherins recieved this invitation anyway, so he wasn’t getting himself into anything that his whole house wasn’t involved in as well. Together they had proven to be able to get through just about anything. They were sometimes untrustworthy, maybe, but it wasn’t them who made the Blossom Ball such a disaster. Perhaps things would have been peaceful if only a bunch of Gryffindors didn’t set things on fire and tackle people.
Well, that was in the past anyway. This wasn’t some kind of secret clandestine meeting. They were surrounded by friends.
Getting to the front of the line however, he was disconcerted when Opeila grabbed for her shoulder. Looking at her with concern, the invitation was snapped out of his hand. Looking back, Flash was alarmed. He looks… what-- He grabbed his own shoulder. A small pain, like an itch.

Waiting in line was the easy part. The part she didn't have to question, be suspicious of. Sure, she was a bit uncomfortable from the eyes on her. Well, more accurately, the eyes on the black veins running from her right shoulder to the fingers of the corresponding hand. It was summer now, and try as she might, Bridget couldn't stand wearing a sweatshirt anymore. At some point comfort took precedence over the staring she so hated and she much preferred her simple dark grey tank top and shorts [Outfit] to copious sweating. Plus, if it did get cold, she'd tied her sweatshirt around her waist. Her crossed arms hardly did anything to hide the curse, but that was that.
Stepping up to the table as the people in front of her finished, she eyed the person there curiously. Why someone so young? And his face was odd too--skin pulled across his features too tightly, an odd patch of black along the right side that was much too big to be from a fist fight. She accepted the slip of paper he offered her, eyes narrowing slightly as he set the corner on fire. She inched her fingers as far away from the burning paper as she could.
Perhaps Bridget should have been more wary of that glint the boy got in his eyes, but she handed her invitation over. This too caught on fire, the paper making an odd sound like a wolf howling. A sting shot through her upper right arm, but it was nothing. Her pain tolerance was quite high after the curse still dwelling in the veins of the same arm. Still, it was abnormal for a paper to ignite and then to feel pain yourself. Her hazel eyes traveled to where she'd felt the sting. In its place was a number, a neat five branded onto her skin, somewhat difficult to read due to the blackened veins crisscrossing behind it. Was it permanent? She was hardly around her Muggle family anymore but she had the feeling they would be very against her getting a tattoo.
Looking back up, she searched his expression, trying to identify if there was any malice hidden there. Bridget was sure she'd seen this boy before. It was a feeling she couldn't shake, yet a face she couldn't place. He didn't look particularly sinister, but she wasn't sure. With Hogwarts and all the terrible things that kept happening you could never be truly sure about anything...

Amara walks into the two-story navy tent. She was dressd somewhat simply, had her wand in her bag and invitation in hand. When @Bridget Collins was done and the teen called Amara forward, she walked up to him. Part of her wanted to gasp at his appearance and the other part scolded herself for the thought. Before she could delve any deeper into her thoughts, he asks her for the invitation. Amara hands it to him and is surprised when the teen begins to burn it. The number 6 starts to form via burns onto Amara's left arm and she gasps in pain.

Søren had been blissfully left out of the adventures of his housemates for the past year. He slept heavily, straight through the spider attack and anything else that would have given him an indication of the sinister nightmares that lurked beneath the surface of Hogwarts. Today, he wouldn’t be so lucky.
He was prepared to ignore the invitation. There was no interest for himself to return to London. He was enjoying his time at Hogwarts well enough, thank you very much. The thought of being in the same city as his family again, surprisingly, irritated him. Unfortunately for the boy, he was starved. He hungered to make more friends and embrace the adventure of being a wizard. The job he had done thus far was, frankly, abysmal.
So, in the line he stood, behind students’ whose names he did not know. Yet.
When the smaller, brown-haired girl in front of him moved to the side, Søren was met with a face that seemed… familiar? He couldn’t tell. Maybe he had seen the boy around, but placing the face was a task he didn’t sign up for.
“The ring is in the basement.”
The ring? Basement?
Nothing good could come of this, Søren was sure. But the young lad felt excited, somehow. A mystery invitation to an underground match of sorts? He felt sorry for the unlucky bastards that were doing the fighting if that was the case. For all Søren knew, they could be heading down to watch something completely different.
He handed over his invitation and watched as it burned away. The stinging sensation came immediately after and he plastered his hand onto the sleeve of his sweater. Raising it up, he noted the number seven now horrifically branded onto his skin. Whatever, he could just have it removed later.
Moving aside, Søren joined the group that lined up before him, but the reality of the number on his skin started to sink in. He recalled reading about those underground animal fights that seemed prevalent in certain muggle moving pictures. The students around him were branded just like those animals. He could only pray to Merlin and Grandpa Silverwood that he was wrong. Seven was supposed to be a lucky number in his culture, right?Ability: Charmer

Percival walked towards the rather large navy blue tent. It seemed to be about two stories high which was pretty impressive on its own.
To his left, Adonis Thorn was chatting his ear off all about Quidditch. Percival had wished he had realized how much the boy liked the sport before he had invited the other. To his right, was Hanako Tone and the boy was thankfully not chatting his ear off.
The boy wore a long grey turtleneck sweatshirt and black slats. To himself, it felt like he was fairly dressed down, but he could guess that some other people may disagree with that statement.
He made his way towards the slightly open front door. It seemed like the tent had attracted a number of other wizards, and not just himself.
Percival glanced at the teenager who was first in line The boy seemed fairly harsh, and he found himself thinking the boy was a little weird.
Once the kids in front of him were finished Percival walked up to the man.
The man spoke of the invitation that he held in his right hand. With a curious look, the boy nodded before bestowing his letter to the other to take.
He watched as the other lit the invitation on fire. To say the least, Percival was a little surprised to hear the thing cry.
Though in a matter of seconds he felt a sharp sting in his right arm. The boy clasped a hand over his right arm with his left hand.
Percival ended up biting his lip to keep himself from whimpering out loud.
The boy rolled up his sleeve to see the number 8 branded into his arm. It took everything in him to keep the nauseating feeling down.
"Thank you." he managed to get out before joining the rest of the group.
Percival wondered exactly what he had just gotten himself into. The thought of going down to a random basement was not exactly considered safe.

What is the First Rule...
Unfortunately for Adonis he had missed out on the previous escapades of his fellow housemates such as the spider attack for example. He had slept through the whole ordeal and missed out on every bit of it which sucked because if he had to be honest with himself, Adonis would've loved to have been able to join in on that. Oh well. It was over with now.
Adonis was just glad to have been able to come with everyone else now and had found himself with an invitation to some thing. Percival and Adonis had accompanied each other as they headed out to the London Quidditch Stadium along with everyone else in the Slytherin house. As they all made their way there, Adonis had been spewing facts and things about Quidditch in general, specifically the Quidditch League and how much a Montrose Magpies fan he was. Adonis was even wearing his Montrose Magpies badge that he bought from Quality Quidditch Supplies a while back. He was rather proud to have it on him with a confident look on his face upon entering the stadium.
He then happened to get in line behind Percival as they were all formed into a single file line, waiting his turn to make it up to the front. The man at the desk spoke of a ring in the basement? Ring? Basement? The Slytherin boy was confused as to what he meant by that. It irked him in fact to know what he meant. Adonis presumably handed him the invitation and let out a groan as the number nine was seared into his arm with a visible look of pain. "T-thank you." He said through gritted teeth with a grunt and joined all the others who had before him.

He had never been to the Quittitch Stadium, he admits. Being a half-blood with the wizarding world hidden from you until very recently had it's downsides. Fortunately for him, he had met tons of people that would give him the basic details of this whole quidditch thing. One being Percival Rainwood.
He was utterly glad that he was able to find a few companions on this journey and got in line with them. But he was started to get a tad bit uneasy with how the whole entrance thing worked. Basement? Of course, it's a basement. What totally safe event would be in the basement? He had seen enough muggle thriller movies to know this wasn't it.
It seemed like most of the people in the line thought it was odd as well. Nevertheless, Hanako complied when the boy asked for his ticket. He watched it burn and winced as he felt a sting on his arm. A number? Wizards didn't want to lose tickets do they?
Trying not to show his uneasiness, Hanako would send a peace sign to the boy that took his ticket before entering himself, joining Percival and Adonis in their entry.
