Slytherin Match 1 Edric & Glen vs. Koko & Luna

Action: cast Curse of the Bogies at Koko Riddle

Glen was a nervous wreck. Or rather, could people be excited wrecks? He wasn't sure; but he felt a bit like he was vibrating on the spot – he actually wasn't, he checked. Still, he really couldn't wait for this thing to start.

Perking up as Edric's and his names were called Glen made his way onto the duelling podium. Edric was probably his only friend his own age in Slytherin, which had surprised him after the disaster at the lake during the Blossom Ball... That whole day had been a failure. But then they'd ended up being in the same maze and apparently that had done the trick. After he and his original dorm mates had grown apart (whatever happened there anyway?) he'd probably been closest to Marcus, an upper-year he'd talked books with. Glen knew a bunch of people but he wasn't really close with any of them. (If he'd be honest with himself it was probably because he was somewhat flighty and easily distracted, but he didn't really concern himself with that.)

Bouncing on his feet while waiting for the duel to begin, Glen contemplated their opponents. Edric and him had signed up together and he wondered if their opponents had as well. Still, he wondered who did the sign-ups. He found it really interesting that they'd paired two third-year boys against two second-year girls. Maybe they'd done that to balance things out? They might have an advantage due to their higher years, but the other two were girls. In his personal experience girls were more capable in a fight than boys (especially when it came to Edric and him).

Sharing a quick look with Edric, he gave the other boy a firm nod. They were here and they would make the best of it. They had the semblance of a plan and they would stick to that for as long as they could.

Twitching as Arc called for the duel to ”Begin!” Glen readied his wand and moved to cast a spell at his former fellow prefect just as they had discussed:

“Mimblewimble!”

Duelling was supposed to be fun. It had been fun at first, at least before Koko had gotten sick during her last duel. And now, for some reason unbeknownst to the girl, she had signed up to do the sport again. She was absolutely terrified when she saw her teammates, who were not only bigger and stronger than she was, but who also had much more experience.

That was, until she realised who her partner was.

No. Absolutely not. Fridge, the Terror of Slytherin, was her duelling partner. Could this day get any worse? She thought not.

Koko knew that if she wanted to remain triumphant throughout this duel, she would have to use the most amazing strategy out there. The only issue was that it would be sort of... difficult... for a twelve-year-old girl to have a war plan. The only thing that came to her mind was to run/ These people were terrifying.

Her golden eyes were wide with horror as she watched one of the boys move their wand, and she knew she was in for trouble. She would have to run away. It was her only hope. Run away from all of the terror. So as he waved his wand, she leaped.

Looking at the person who was supposed to be her partner, there was something that came up to her mind. Everything would end now. She would lose, for sure. What she knew about Koko was that this girl was scared of everything, including her. Would there be a chance that Kokonut would attack her because she was too scared? That sounded like what she would do, from everything she knew about this girl.

She wouldn't accept to be a duellist again if she didn't receive that letter. The lavender haired girl thought about training herself. The first-year party made her disappointed in her skill, and she realized that she had to train more.

One of the reasons why she didn't like the dueling club, was that people here were usually really loud. Even when they only wanted to give applaud for her team, she still felt uncomfortable. That was something she couldn't change.

The two opponent today was both Third years. Third years, which mean they had more experiment than her and knew more spells. There was a high chance they would lose, but that was not what she cared. She only cared if she gained more experiment or not.

Luna took out her wand, randomly chose one of them and cast, "Incendio."

Action: Using Fire-Making Spell • Incendio Duo on Edric

Three wands lit up almost all at once. Two from the boys' side and one from the girls'. Green light appeared at the tip of @Edric Banes' wand as he aimed a nasty curse at Koko. But did he have the heart to attack the beautiful girl? How could he ruin such a pretty face with snot and mucus?!

At the last minute, he changed his aim. And in the confusion his spell flew pretty close to Glen. Thankfully, @Glen Pope was nimble enough to avoid the curse. On the other hand, @Koko Riddle jumped away, trying to dodge, as she saw a green light aimed at her. She might have a bad experience with the curse of the bogies or something. But apparently, she did not need to do that. It was just a waste of move.

Glen tried to stop his enemy by using the tongue-tying spell. Blue light appeared and flew towards @Luna Choi. But she managed to avoid it just fine without breaking her stride or concentration. She kept her wand trained at Edric. And with a flash of insight she saw where he was going to step the next second. By the time a powerful jet of fire left her wand, she already saw the boy burning, wreathed in her flame.

Arc had a feeling that this was going to be a dangerous yet interesting fight.

Well well well. That had been interesting. Koko's heart was beating quickly from the fear of yet another Curse of the Bogies being aimed at her, but she just smiled smugly. People didn't seem to want to hurt her, even if they were terrifying people. She could only hope the same about her apparent ally...

This time, she decided to go on the offensive. It wouldn't do too much - she preferred strategy to violence - but it would do quite enough for her means. Koko tightened her fingers around her wand and tried to catch her breath. Once she had done that, she carefully raised her wand, taking aim at the same kid who had shot the curse at her. "Flipendo."

Yelping Glen dodged out of the way. “Edric, what the hell!” Was this a belated bid for revenge for the incident at the lake? He hoped not, but he couldn't think of any other reason his partner would suddenly attack him instead of their opponents. So much for the plan...

He hadn't signed up for a three-against-one fight! Oh, now he was going to loose for sure. Well, then. Fuck the plan, he would go and do... whatever... something. Ugh, he didn't now what to do next, he'd banked on following the plan until he found his sea legs, so to speak, in the duel. No matter, if he was going to loose anyway, he'd at least have some fun with it!

Okay, he wouldn't call it fun, but this spell would make more difficult for everyone to hit him (if Edric really was out for his blood though he didn't seem the type now that Glen had a split second to think about it)... it would make it harder for him to hit the others as well, but seeing as he had already missed once anyway...

So he narrowed his eyes, pointed his wand at the are between them and their opponents to cast his spell and yelled: “Fumos!”

Luna had no idea why the only person she didn't know suddenly attacked their partner. It would be better if the spell hit, though at least that guy didn't attack Kokonut. It would be very annoying if she was hit by that spell.

Dodging the incoming spell and succeeded with casting, lucky. Or maybe because she had been in some duels before? No idea, though when the fire started burning, she felt pretty good because her skill wasn't that bad.

About Kokonut, that was a waste when she chose to dodge instead of attacking. However, Luna also knew what happened in the past couldn't change. Regretting right now would just be wasting time.

A lot of spells ran through her head, but then she realized one thing. Incendio Duo might be the strongest spell, so why shouldn't she use it again?

The problem was, on who. The person who used to be her colleague? Maybe no, obviously not because he used to work with her. It was because of Kokonut. She aimed at the lavendered hair girl's previous victim. And again, with the same spell and the same victim, Luna mumbled, "Incendio."
