Lancaster vs. Jones
RESERVED: Dmitri Jones & Colette Lancaster
The Professor stepped between the two students, a gloved hand behind his back and a posture made of stone. He waited for the two students to come up on each end before stepping back to beckon the two of them together. There were rules and ways to begin a duel, he chose to begin it the way he knew best. "This duel is between Colette Lancaster of Gryffindor house ..." he motioned towards one end to the other with the free hand.
"And Dmitri Jones of Slytherin house. Come to the middle ground and meet your opponent eye to eye, then bring your wands up to the ready. Turn around with your backs against one another and once at your respective positions, turn and face one another. Good luck to both." The Bulgarian man took a deep exhale and stepped back to place his hands behind his back. Once everything was said and done with, the Professor nodded to the both of them. "Begin!"

Lancaster vs. Jones
Lettie took a deep breath and tried to convince herself to relax. Everything she had dreamed of, all of her hopes and aspirations all hung upon this moment, here in The Dueling Club. She was not about to take this lightly.
With a stern face, the girl stepped atop the platform, carefully eyeing her opponent. He was a Slytherin, but she hadn't had much of a chance to interact with him yet. He didn't appear to be too tough, but you could never judge a book by its cover. She knew that she had to win by whatever means necessary, so she made a point not to let her guard down.
"Hello there!" Lettie grinned at the boy cordially. "May the best Wizard win." She raised her wand into a ready position, focusing on the boy's movements and the way he composed himself. You could tell a lot about your opponent just by the power of observation.
When the Professor had said Begin, Lettie immediately sprung into action. Paying close attention to her wand movements, she cried "Incendio!" A shot of adrenaline coursed through her veins as she hoped to Merlin that her spell would hit, while attempting to ready herself for whatever Dmitri would throw at her.
