Jinxed Closed

Quite frankly, Cel had absolutely no idea what she was doing.
Well, she knew what she was doing.  She had walked into the Dueling Club through its door and scanned the mass of students spinning and shouting at their wands and dummies and flower vases and red sparks and basically a completely vertiginous sight. The girl had had half a mind to walk right out of the room and continue on her way to the library, but she had taken a deep breath, traveling to the very back of the room, where a row of unused dummies stood.
Now she raised her chestnut wand beneath the ethereal candles, then lowered it as she struggled to remember the gesture for the knockback jinx. Cel had practiced throughout her Defense Against Dark Arts classes, but she hadn't done much on it since. Truthfully, she hadn't been able to find anywhere to practice unless she ducked into some random empty room, and right now she was just having a brain freeze.
Oh, right. Moving her arm in the double-check gesture of the jinx, she sucked in a breath.
"Flipendo," she declared, and a small bang emitted from the end of her wand. The dummy, however, barely even tipped backward.
Maybe I should practice on something less heavy.
Scanning the room, she spotted a throw pillow sitting in a corner. Cel wasn't absolutely sure why it was there, but nobody seemed to want it, so she stepped over lightly to retrieve it, then placed it on the ground in front of her, stepping back a couple of paces.
"Flipendo!" the girl said again, and the pillow flew backward, smacking into the wall between two dummies. She grinned, though she knew it was probably just luck that she had gotten it.
