So I have to be completely honest, I am not known for my artistic effort, like not at all actually. However, this sounded like fun and a good way to earn some housepoints too. Plus I've always been told the best way to improve is to give something a go. So this is me, giving it a go and who knows I may create the next masterpiece!
Lets be honest that's never going to happen

1 October 2020: Potions bottle
ReducioWell here it is, my first image for Artober the potions bottle. I drew this using a biro pen, hence the rather scratchy edges and complete lack of colour. Plus I did it on lined paper, I thought it might help me to achieve a 3D effect but I'm not sure I really succeeded on that either. Also if you're wondering the bubbles at the bottom is supposed to be a section of a cauldron with a potion in it...
Not the worst thing I've ever drawn but there is much room for improvement I'm sure.

4 October 2020: Messenger Owl
ReducioSo out of the others that I have done, this is so far my favourite and actually turned out vaguely how I wanted it to. The feet did go a little wrong though and I'm still not able to add much dimension to my pictures.

5 October 2020 : Wizard robes
ReducioA really simple sketch of some wizards robes using just pencil. Not the most exciting but it was probably the easiest to do out of all of them so far and I'm pretty happy with the outcome.

6 October 2020 : Brewing a potion
ReducioFor this one I thought I'd go for a students desk whilst brewing a potion, complete with book, motar and pestle, potion ingredients bottle and of course the cauldron and potion itself. I think it turned out pretty well and I managed to get a little bit of depth on the actual cauldron so I think I'm improving with my shading.

6 October 2020 : Starry night
ReducioI'm actually quite disappointed with this. I wanted to do something a little more abstract than your typical starry night with lots of blended colours and some texture. But it didn't come out anything like what I hoped it would and to be honest I was feeling too tired and disheartened to try again so figured I'd post it.

18 October 2020 : Wand
ReducioOk so I have kind of fallen of track with my Artober challenge but I'm hoping to make up for lost time by drawing as quickly as I possibly can. Above is my rendition of a wand casting some magic. It's a simple pencil drawing with some blending and some pops of colour with fine tip pens. I actually think it came out pretty well, one of my best so far. Right time to go on to the next one!

18 October 2020 : Hufflepuff
ReducioSo because I had fallen behind I decided not to do things in order, and to do the ones that inspired me the most and I love Hufflepuff (what can I say I'm a proud badger) therefore I chose to do this one next. I stuck with the badger for this one and drew him simply in pencil and then for the signature hufflepuff colour I though it best just to add the house name in felt tip pen. I'm a little bit in love with this one not going to lie!

19 October 2020: Slytherin
ReducioNot much really to say about this one, stuck with the snake for Slytherin and used felt tip pen to add colour. I think my felt pen nearly ran out at one point but it hung in there.
