@Hjørdis Jensen, @Alaric Equinox
Wearing a simple long sleeved, black dress and a pair of black ballerina shoes, her hair tied up in a classic chignon and a pair of pearls as earrings, Lydia was waiting outside the doors of the Ballroom for Professor Jensen to arrive. She had spent quite some time getting ready for this moment, memorising everything to perfection, almost obsessively, practicing as much as she could, and now that the moment had finally arrived, she could barely hold back her excitement.

When the red headed girl saw the Professor, she offered her a bright smile and once she was next to her, Lydia gently opened the doors of the Ballroom, before guiding Professor Jensen inside. For the occasion, the whole room had been decorated with a sea of rose petals and lit candles that gave the room a dreamy atmosphere. The paintings on the walls were observing the situation, some of them more intrigued than others, and Lydia couldn't help the big grin that plastered itself on her face the moment that she separated from the professor. "Enjoy!" she gently told her, gesturing towards Professor Equinox and exhorting Professor Jensen to join him, before she made her way up on the stage.

Rose petals and candles were on the piano as well, and some of the red petals fell on the floor as the part-vela girl sat on the piano stool. She gave one last, quick look towards Professor Equinox and Professor Jensen, before she started playing, her smile never leaving her lips. The notes of "Marriage d'Amour" filled the room, sounding loud and clear in the otherwise silent chamber, as her fingers moved swiftly along the black and white keys, hitting them just at the right time.

The progression of semiquavers danced in the air, carrying around emotions and lulling the dancing couple into a vortex of rhythms and harmonies that ran one after the other; although gentle and elegant, the notes were strong and fast as they did their best to inspire and evoke feelings in those that were listening to them.

Alaric awaited Nora in the middle of the ballroom dressed in the finest three-piece suit he owned. The biggest standouts would be that the Ravenclaw Head of House was not wearing colors to represent his own house as he would typically do. No, he was wearing the colors of their house. The house he went to school under and the house she now currently watched over. While the white shirt was a standout, it was the best canvas for the Slytherin green tie offset by the pocket square in his black suit jacket. A silver pocket watch chain ran from his third button to the hidden pocket where his silver pocket watch resides.

As Lydia sat down at the grand piano and started to play Marriage d'Amour Alaric would offer her a deep bow before gently taking her hand. “My starlit Goddess, allow me to float you across the clouds.”He whispered with a voice of velvet as he pulled her close. His left hand would hold her right hand; his other hand rested respectfully on her upper back. It didn’t matter if Nora knew how to properly waltz at all. Alaric had been dancing since he was a young man, his leading so flawless that even the most unskilled dancer would glide across the ballroom with elegance in his arms.

Lydia’s playing went perfectly with the lulling swoops and twirls of the dance, and they would only stop when the song ended, and Saskia Nicholson appeared in the doorway. Alaric released her hands and held up a finger asking for a moment before he would remove his silver pocket watch and open it. Instead of seeing watch parts, however, she would see a filigree, silver wire wrapped N with an emerald stone. He removed the N and replaced his pocket watch before pulling out an intricate woven bracelet that was hidden behind his pocket square. He smiled softly as he attacked the N to the bracelet and tied it around her wrist. Alaric gave her another deep bow and placed a gentle kiss on the back of her hand. “Thank you for setting me free My Silver Knight, but it appears your quest takes you further yet.” He would walk her over to Saskia and release Nora into her company.

Hjørdis levitated the box all the way to the ballroom, dreading what was actually going to happen there. There better not be any dancing, she would kill him. She paused mid-route. Maybe she should just turn around now. It would be safer. It was far easier to just turn around now and face their wrath tomorrow. No. They wouldn't be angry. They'd be upset... She sighed softly, her gaze falling onto the contents of the box.

'Have faith in those you are about to meet...'

The words echoed in her mind. She swallowed, calming her growing nerves. Right. She could do this. It was no big deal. Her footsteps resumed, tapping softly against the stone floor as she made her way back into the school, through the floors and up the stairs until she inevitably reached the ballroom.

Approaching the ballroom, she placed the box down by the door as she saw the young ballerina open up the door, gliding it like she had practiced this. Her silvery blue eyes hit the sight of rose petals and candles. What the... It looked far more romantic than it should have done. She... should back away. Back away right now. Yes. That was smar- Alaric. Hjørdis almost sighed a breath of relief as her gaze fell onto the head of Ravenclaw.

Her eyebrow quirked slightly, noticing his outfit. He was not dressed in his usual blue. There was a striking green tie. His dashing look made her own seem even more out of place in the giant ballroom. Hjørdis was wearing what she wore from the start of this journey. She had been working... She had not expected to be the ballroom now. Dressed in a white shirt with blue stripes down it, with rolled up sleeves and a light blue pair of jeans, with black flats, Hjørdis was - for perhaps the first time in her history at Hogwarts - severely more underdressed for the occasion. Whatever the occasion actually was. The sword that the King had given her in the dungeons was still strapped to her hip and the tiara was somehow still on. Her arm was getting covered in bracelets that brightened up her outfit instantly.

"Alaric-" She started, about to ask what the heck was going on and more importantly, why he was playing along with this whole thing but she stopped herself. There was no point. He was not going to answer it, was he? He bowed and took her hand, pulling her close. O-oh. Well then. It looked like they were... waltzing? Yeahhhh... It was official. She would kill Caradoc by the end of this.

"There, she would have to seek out a handsome, yet lonesome lord, and dance with him in order to break him free from his curse." The Huntress had told her... "We believe in you, Professor Jensen... The Silver Knight will be victorious..."

The sound of Miss Cooper's piano playing skills hit the room. It was so elegant and memorising to listen to. She hated to admit it but this was a song she could get behind. It was far better than the crazy great hall dancing that had happened not too many months prior. This was definitely much more her speed.

Sighing softly, entirely to herself, she gave in. Right. It looked like they were waltzing. Not that she had much experience in the Waltz but luckily, Alaric seemed to be prepared for that. They moved to the sound of the beautiful tune echoing in the ballroom. There were so many questions that she wanted to ask but... she gave in, opting to simply listen to the sound of the piano and follow Alaric's lead.

Frowning, mildly surprised to see an N instead of watch parts, she noticed him putting it onto the bracelet. It clicked in her mind, starting to make more sense. Right. She definitely saw where this was going. Her expression soften slightly, as he spoke again, playing the part of the handsome - oh so handsome - lord. Well if there was a plus to this whole dancing mess, it was that she got to be in his manly arms. That had to count for something, right?

He accompanied her to another hufflepuff - one she recognised from the quidditch team and prefect duties. Looking back at Alaric, Hjørdis had a lot that she wanted to say. But in her usual fashion, she chose to internalise it all. There was no point in questioning anything. This whole thing was... ridiculous and... yet somehow kind of... really sweet? She shook her head to herself, placing it in one palm as she smiled into it, exhaling a puff of air in a small laugh. The whole thing was so ridiculous, she had no idea why she agreed with it. Well... sort of.

She gently squeezed his hand before she released it, in a silent display of gratitude. Though she did not understand why he had agreed to it... "We may have to find a replacement for hufflepuff though... I might have to flipendo the current one off the tower..." She warned him, glancing back at him before following Saskia to... the historian? Zahid? No... It couldn't be... Right? He would never possibly agree to this madness... Oh lord, it was him, wasn't it...? Alaric, she might have understood but... Zahid? No. No... Maybe... Before she left, she glanced over to the beautiful pianist and smiled softly, nodding a silent thank you to her too.
