First meeting of the Charms Study Group @Opeila Winters
@Autumn Ivy
@Rafael D'Spacito
@Serena Bowen
@Callie Jensen

How can this be put kindly... Second-year charms was so much more difficult than first-year charms that Wyatt Starkey joined a study group for help. It wasn’t embarrassing… no, it was… annoying. Wyatt had always assumed since he was raised in a muggle household, not knowing a thing about magic until he was about 11 or so, that he would fall behind at some point, but it was still disappointing when the time came.
Wyatt made sure to wait until the signatures on the sign-up sheet stopped coming in so that he could write his name last. He assumed if anyone saw he was interested in joining the group, no one else would join after, and he needed all the help he could get- at least to pass the class. Maybe that was why he wasn’t a Ravenclaw. When it came to school he never cared about being top of the class, he only cared about passing it.
Well, thinking about what house he “missed out” on didn’t really matter right now. Besides he was a Slytherin, he was in the best house. What’s there to think about? Which also didn’t matter right now. Wyatt hoped he wasn’t late. He chuckled right as he thought about it. He thought it was funny he cared about making a good impression. Who was he kidding? His reputation had been in the mud since the beginning of last year.
It was all about help, though. If he couldn’t get help, he wouldn’t pass. Even though getting the help he desperately needed was so important, Wyatt wondered if he would even be able to play nice for as long as the meeting went. He thought he could control his emotions quite nicely, but that just meant he could hide them well. It didn’t mean he could keep a snarky comment in his head. That was a lot less fun than actually saying it.
Soon enough, he got to the study room, about a couple of minutes late. He opened the door quickly, but gently, and found a seat, putting his notebook and textbook stacked on one another on the table. He didn't count how many people were there, and he didn’t look at their faces either. He didn't really want to make eye contact with anyone. Not yet, at least. He knew he’d have to eventually, but he still didn’t want to think about that.

It didn't take long since her arrival at Hogwarts for Callie to discover a deep love for charms which hadn't at all dwindled. If anything it had only cemented itself within the girl and spurred her onwards in the pursuit of academic success. Sure part of this success was down to the false perception that she was woefully behind compared to some purebloods but Callie hadn't quite realised the issues in her outlook. The girl was far too concerned with her pursuit of the unknown which had recently pushed her into the territory of third year charms spells. Some might've called that the sign of a talented young mind but not Callie, she was convinced it simply wasn't enough. That coupled with her already sociable nature was what had led to the study group being set up and Callie was certainly over the moon people had actually signed up.
Unfortunately despite the fact the entire ordeal was her idea Callie was well and truly late, largely thanks to her losing track of time whilst arguing about movies. The young Ravenclaw girl scurried down the hallway clad in a pair of beaten converse, a checked shirt with what looked to be a chocolate stain on the collar, a pair of jeans with a slight hole at the knee and a shirt with a dancing skeleton on. Not exactly the picture of grace but Callie didn't care all that much - until she tripped over her own feet on the way into the room.
However instead of becoming mortified at her misfortune Callie simply laughed it off and raised a hand in greeting to those already in the room. "Sorry I'm late! I was arguing about James Bond again. Imagine thinking Die Another Day was the best bond movie? Ridiculous! Sorry, I'm getting off track again." Callie smiled as she took up residence on a free seat and started unpacking her notebook onto the table. "Thanks for showing up by the way, I was terrified nobody would bother! Oh! I'm Callie! Callie Jensen, nice to meet you." Callie's pleasant smile didn't falter as she brought out her textbook and started drumming her fingers against the cover.

Opeila was still not sure why she signed up. It was not that the Slytherin was bad in Charms, on the contrary, it was her absolutely best subject. Nothing worse than an O and she was very proud of it.
She had seen the sign up sheet and just put her name down. Only a few spots had been still open and she decided to ignore the name Rafael D'Spacito on the list and instead 'accidently' hit him with a Tarantallegra when he entered. Would she actually do it? She was actually considering it.
Opeila was early. She was excited for today, this would be good! It would be good using the opportunity to practice in a group instead of doing it alone. So of course she was on time.
But apparently not everyone thought that way.
A boy came late- Oh, Opeila knew that boy. Not his name, but she was quite sure that he had been laying next to the lake a few weeks ago, about to freeze to death.
He definitely looked better today, although he didn't seem interested to be here really. He wouldn't even look at anyone. Rude.
Another girl came late, a blond girl that ran in and started about how she was late because she argued about James Bond movies. Opeila had no idea about James Bond, she never watched the movies- or did she? One maybe. But that was only a very blurry memory. The Slytherin couldn't help an amused smile.
Frankly, Opeila had not met a lot of nice Ravenclaws last year, rather a bunch of weirdos, some booksmart, some not, many lacking social skills, apart from a few exceptions. But this girl- Callie Jensen- seemed like a fun person. Jensen. Coincidence or actual relation to her head of house? Opeila looked at the girl again. Could be. No, actually Opeila had no clue. Jensen was not such a rare name, right?
"Of course, I wouldn't miss this! It's Charms.", she said, smiling at Callie. "Opeila Sei-" She stopped, pretendes to sneeze- hell, she got good at fake sneezing- and started again. "Opeila Winters, sorry."
Mentioning @Rafael D'Spacito

Serena quickly ran over to the study room, wearing a simple yellow sweater and jeans. Her blonde hair looked a little messy and out of place, but she didn’t have time to fix it before leaving. Serena had decided to just close her eyes for a little bit on the couch in the Common Room before having to go for the Charms Study Group, and the girl ended up taking a 15-minute nap. Hopefully, she wasn’t too late. Serena really needed this study group. The blonde had been struggling this year. She wasn’t sure why; Charms was one of her best subjects last year. But, for some reason, Serena just wasn’t understanding the concepts, no matter how hard she tried. Honestly, it was starting to get a bit frustrating. Why couldn’t she get it anymore? What had changed? She would take any help that she could get at this point.
So, when she had noticed a sign-up sheet for a study group, Serena quickly put her name on the list without any hesitation or even looking to see who else had signed up. As she ran into the room, she spoke, “Sorry that I’m late!” her words slightly blending together from speaking fast and being somewhat out of breath. She set her school bag onto the table and sat down in one of the available seats. “I’m Serena Bowen; looking forward to studying with you all!” She added, giving a small smile towards the other people at the table before pulling her notebook and Charms textbook out of her bag. While she did want to mainly focus on work, making some new friends would also be nice, especially since the twelve-year-old didn’t have many.
“So, what did I miss?” Serena asked. Hopefully, she hadn’t missed too much. She really wanted to do well in this class and turn her grades around before they got too far down to the point that they’d never recover. So, Serena opened her notebook and grabbed a quill and inkwell from her bag, ready to get to work.
So so sorry for the late post!Interacting With:@Wyatt Starkey, @Callie Jensen, and @Opeila Winters

Mentioning/Interacting With: @Wyatt Starkey, @Callie Jensen, @Opeila Winters, @Serena BowenEnglish: #6B5076
Welsh: #9E8FB9
Uzbek: #874343Autumn quintuple-checked her items. Textbooks, ink, parchment, some pens she had smuggled with her because quills were terrible writing tools, notes and studying planner with all of her homework, assignments, upcoming exams and due dates listed in it.
She was ready.
It was not that Autumn needed a study group to get Os and Es in Charms. She had been doing that for a year now, and there was no obstacle stopping her from continuing to do so. Still, it could be fun, or at the very least, help kill some time. Besides, you never stopped learning and all that, right?
Making her way to the study room, Autumn mentally went through all of the names she could remember being listed down on the sign-up sheet. Callie Jensen had been the person to create the study group. Potentially related to the Head of Slytherin, but that was irrelevant to the topic. Serena Bowen, a fellow Hufflepuff. Nell Zoldak, which had initially confused Autumn, but she did not know much about the girl, so maybe this was the kind of thing she was interested in? It seemed odd. Autumn was curious to find out more. Two or three other whose names Autumn could not remember, and Wyatt Starkey. There were no names below Starkey's. Autumn continued to wonder whether it had been a coincidence or not. If she had learnt anything from last year's rumour fiasco, it was not a coincidence.
Autumn was not the first to arrive, much to her dismay.
A Slytherin girl. What was her name? Something Winters. Without approaching the girl, Autumn took a seat and began unpacking her belongings in an organised manner. If she was going to wait, she would be productive while doing so.
Soon another few appeared.
Wyatt Starkey, who did not look at anyone in the face as he entered and took out his belongings as well. Autumn sighed.
Callie Jensen. The girl muttered some nonsense about James Bond and took a seat, drumming her fingers. Autumn sighed deeper.
Winters said something to Jensen, mentioning her first name; Opeila Winters. That was it!
Then, Serena Bowen, in a sweater and jeans. The girl had messy hair, and Autumn could have bet that she had been asleep sometime recent, had she been one for gambling or taking risks.
Some others were to come, so Autumn took that time to think about everything she could be doing at that moment instead of being impatient and unproductive.
"Who else is meant to arrive?" she wanted to ask, but she kept her cool instead. "This is a waste of time," she wanted to say, but she sighed again instead. "Maybe if you are all as late as this to charms class, you do not need to come to a study group for help, but a seminar on timeliness instead," she wanted to complain, but she knew better.
Instead, she just eyed the door, waiting for the next person to arrive. She would rather stare at a door than talk, which seemed to be her only other option, so stare she would.
