Ana was sick of fire. Not that she was scared of it (she was), she was just sick of it. She had set far too many people on fire and having been on fire herself, was more than ready to move past that chapter of her life. She'd been hospitalized for several days after that stupid ball, and now there were all kinds of rumors about her and fire flying around the school. Some of them were somewhat flattering, like the one about her having died and come back like a phoenix, but some of them were just weird and demented, like the one about her having died and been replaced by a clone to cover up the deaths at Hogwarts.

In any event, she was sick of it. Fire, school everything. Exams were finally over and she would be heading home school. She could hardly wait to leave. Not that she wanted to go home. She definitely didn't look forward to going home and she was going to miss her friends terribly. She just needed a break from everything. A chance to reset. That was it. She would come back next year better than ever with a fresh outlook on life.

She wasn't sure what exactly had brought her to the Study room, seeing as exams were over. Maybe saying goodbye to the room she'd spent so much time in. She wasn't sure. This was where she'd been attacked by swans, and also the site of more than one fire she'd set. Glancing around the room, an idea struck her. Probably a very bad idea, but it felt like something she just had to do.

"Incendio!" she murmured, flicking her wand. She wasn't sure what she'd expected to be honest. Not the huge blast of flame that shot from her wand. It brought everything back and she hit the ground before she ever realized what was happening. Her breathing quickened and suddenly she was back at the ball, burning alive with nobody around to help her. No, that wasn't real. After a moment frozen in panic, she came back to the present, and tried unsuccessfully to slow her breathing. The flames had bounced (what was it with these bouncy magical flames?) and Ana was alright. She couldn't say the same for whoever it was who was walking through the door at that moment.

Lizzie never thought she would ever go to the Study Room. It was not in her nature. The Library was a push and that was only because her friends went there and it was a meeting place for them to hang out. She had wanted to make their 'meeting' space somewhere outside but they literally did live in Scotland which was a very rainy country so that plan had to retracted and replaced with the boring Library.

The Library and study room were basically the exact same thing so t made no sense it have them as separate rooms. Most people just sat at the small tables in the Library and studied there. It seems much more logical to actually study in the place that has all the information you are studying.

The Ravenclaw shook her head slightly and continued making her way to the room she was looking for. She had been asked by someone [a very lazy someone] if they could get a book they left in the Study Room. Lizzie had no idea why she was the one to be asked or why she even agreed. The other person obviously had legs and could use them but felt like they needed a slave to do their duties. A slave they didn't even know the name off.

As she stepped through the door, Lizzie had a feeling of dread just before something came hurtling straight towards her. She widened her eyes and tried to step out of the way but she didn't seem to have any luck because the thing had set her robe on fire. She yelped and ran further into the room.

Fire had not been Lizzie's best friends in the recent weeks. With the smoke from the Blossom Ball and making the stupid idea of jumping on a fire in the forest, she had defiantly decided it would be for the best if she stayed clear of fire or any spell to do with the destructive element.

She looked up to pin anyone who could have set it off. Lizzie would not be mad at them. It probably was just a bit off last minute spells before they went off home or to Summer Camp. Anyone could accidentally set off a fire in Hogwarts and not be expelled so a little robe on fire would not be that bad.

"Hey!" She said catching the eyes of a girl whom she knew to be in Gryffindor, "Did you set my clothes on fire?" She said pointing towards her robe which was still on fire and spreading even more. Lizzie looked down at it again and brought her foot up to try and stomp the fire out, "I would have thought people would stop using that spell by now."

She took a deep breath in and looked up continuing to try and put it out, "Okay, I understand you might have wanted to experiment a bit but would you mind stopping what you are doing and help me a bit?" Lizzie would have tried to put it out herself if she had even bothered to learn the spell that does that. Except, she spent most of that lesson drawing on a piece of parchment humming one of her favorite songs.

Ana's breath caught in her throat at the sight of the girl on fire. Before the ball, this had been almost funny to her and had gotten rather annoying. Certainly nothing to panic about though. After the ball was different. Ana had avoided using this spell outside of class since the ball, and even the uses in class had caused panic attacks afterwards. This was different though. It was more than just a reminder of her own flames, it was a reminder of that boy and what she had done to him. She hadn't seen him in the hospital after the ball, and still had absolutely no idea what had become of him. She prayed that he wasn't dead, but feared the worst. The logical part of her knew that she would have been long expelled if he had died, seeing as, despite the fact that there were clearly other factors at play, she had most definitely been involved in causing his predicament. In any event, she knew that the absolute best case scenario was he was in a similar situation to her. That seemed unlikely though, seeing as he had passed out before she did and her own unconsciousness had in fact been entirely unrelated to the flames. And she hadn't exactly been in the best shape either. She'd been unconscious for almost three entire days after the ball, and had spent most of that week in the hospital wing.

Her stomach turned and she felt as though she couldn't breathe. Still, she had to do something about the flaming girl in front of her. Having been on fire herself, it wasn't something she took as lightly anymore. True, she had been burned from the inside out because of blood magic and not just caught a normal Incendio that was fairly easy to put out, but for her, there was little difference.

The girl seemed oddly calm, which had a somewhat soothing effect on Ana. Sure, she was still completely freaked out and probably going to throw up later, but her brain was spinning a bit slower and she was able to string together a thought.

"OhmygodImsosorry," Ana exclaimed, before turning her wand towards the girl and casting the extinguishing spell. Fortunately for both of them, Ana was as good at the extinguishing spell as she was at the flame making spell. The flames disappeared and Ana's breathing slowed a bit, although her heart was still pounding and her stomach was still churning. "Yes, I suppose it would stand to reason that after all that's happened, this spell might be slightly less popular."

Glancing at the girl, she smiled tightly. Someone who didn't know Anastasia well might say that she looked guilty, but Ana wasn't someone who was exactly wired for guilt. If she made a mistake(and admitted it), she would deal with right away and promptly move on with her life. "Terribly sorry about that, I generally don't go around using others as kindling," Ana told the girl. Well, that wasn't entirely true, but somehow, she doubted that would actually help make either of them feel better. "I'm Anastasia, by the way."

Lizzie had laughed and shook her head. The girl seemed much more concerned then her about the blonde's own health. Even after the fiasco in the forest, where Lizzie had been set on fire, she had no recollection of what had happened and had not developed a fear of fire. It had actually just made her feel more immune to it even if she was just as prone to burn to death then any other person in the castle.

Lizzie lowered her smile as the girl stood up and started talking very fast, "It's alright." She shrugged her shoulders, "I think I was on fire once but it doesn't bother me now." She looked down at her robe noticing the fire was out but had left a bit of a mark, "I think it's just a thing you have to get used to if you want to stay at Hogwarts." She laughed again.

"I agree. The spell should probably not be taught to eleven year old children." She smiled again and quickly sat down on the closest seat. She pushed some hair out of her face and sighed. It wasn't every day she was set on fire and some of the smoke had actually gone into her system.

She waved her hand and the girl apologized once again, "I said it was fine. I'm sure you didn't mean to do it on purpose." She laughed a bit and then looked around slightly hopping no one was in the room. She did not want this Gyrffindor to get in trouble just for a small incident that didn't even matter in the long run.

"I'm Lizzie." She nodded her head at Ana, "Anastasia sounds like a mouth full. Are you named after that Russian Princess girl?" Lizzie questioned. It would have been so cool to be named after someone special or important.

Except, her parents couldn't even decide to give her a proper name. More like her full name was a nickname to other people. It really aggravated her a lot. Imagine all the other nicknames she could have had if she was called Elizabeth. She could still call herself Lizzie but it would have been a lot cooler to be named after the Queen of England.

Ana laughed slightly at the girl's words, trying to ignore the rising panic. She was almost definitely going to throw up, which was unfortunate as throwing up was not a pastime Ana particularly enjoyed. This girl was certainly not the worst of her victims. In fact, if there was a ranking, she would probably be near the top in terms of politeness and not freaking out about everything. Certainly above that whiny prefect as well as that weird eyepatch chick who had screamed at her. And she definitely had a point about being able to cope with fire if you were going to Hogwarts. It was far more common than it really ought to be, but really, it wasn't a big surprise to anyone who had been there for more than five minutes.

Ana laughed slightly again when the girl questioned the teaching of the spell to eleven-year-old children. It really made no sense, especially considering that it was one of the first things first years learned in Herbology. Call Ana crazy, but she rather thought that they ought to at least teach the extinguishing charm first. She had become quite the expert at it, but she'd been doing Incendio far longer. Magical logic...

Nice to meet you, Lizzie," Ana said, focusing on this girl and the present rather than her impending panic attack. She wondered if Lizzie was short for anything. Generally, it was a nickname for Elizabeth, the same way Ana was short for Anastasia, but Ana didn't usually introduce herself by her nickname. Mostly because she preferred only friends call her that, and in any event, Anastasia was a decent enough name. Oddly enough, the people that disliked her rarely actually called her Anastasia. It was usually her surname or some made up less than flattering nickname. Still, nicknames could be a touchy subject and if this girl wanted to be called Lizzie, then that's what Ana would call her. "The princess and some ancestors of mine, which when you think about it, is a rather morbid way to name your child." Sure, princesses were great and all, but that particular princess hadn't exactly had a fairy tale ending. Come to think of it, most of the things she was named for had unfortunate endings. The Marie in her name was for Marie Antoinette, who had lost her head, and the Alexandra was for a library that had burnt down. Even the Isabella was someone who was long dead. Did Ana's parents want her to have a tragic life? Food for thought...

She grinned at the girl in front of her. Lizzie could tell the girl was slightly uncomfortable. Who wouldn't when they had just set someone on fire? It was not like she went around setting people on fire on purpose. Or that was the real case and she was a pyromaniac that had just lost their confidence. That or this scenario really was an accident. Knowing Lizzie, she would have gone on a rant about how you should not use that around school and defiantly not do it for pleasure uses. However, she did not do that as Anastasia wasn't the one that didn't walk around with a wand. It would be much more sensible to have a weapon on you rather than depending on something or someone else.

Honestly, Lizzie had not been bothered to learn any spells that year. It was mostly just her messing around in class and not listening to the teacher. So she actually didn't know any useful spells that could maybe put her out of fire or even save herself from a hex.

"It's nice to meet you to." Lizzie smiled and nodded her head. It was defiantly a good pleasure. She actually had not met anyone in a higher year where she had held the conversation for a while. Most of them were just a quick hello and then they had either shot of or Lizzie had gotten bored waiting for them to talk and walked away like the rude person she is. "I never really learnt the weird real fairy tale stories since my sisters are still young. In a sense they are still pretty bad even when they were mad 'family friendly.' I just hope you realize that is a really pretty name." She air-quoted the last words. It defiantly was not family friendly as the age differences in the newer story books were very and disturbingly horrendous.

She looked around quickly and spotted the book the lazy girl had sent her to go and find. By then the girl probably had forgotten about it and would not even ask why Lizzie had not found it in the first place. "I better be going now. I have to get something back to someone." She picked up the book and waved at the girl, "I hope to meet you again, Anastasia." She smiled and then walked out of the room with a skip in her step. Maybe being set on fire wasn't as bad as people had brought it out to be.
Lizzie has left the thread.
