Physical Description: Lucy is a slender, fairly short young girl. She has long, dark hair that she usually wears loosely, though sometimes in braided pigtails. She has cool, light-blue eyes and a friendly, if thin, smile. Her skin is noticeably pale, though her cheeks tend towards rosy-pinkenss wheneveer she's shy. Or embarrassed. Or generally bothered by anything. She has a sharp, prominent chin that she inherited from her dad, that she kinda hates.

Due to the magical accident in her youth, Lucy walks with a slight but noticable limp to a defect in her hip. Though she is not immobile, Lucy struggles to walk for longer periods of time without support or time to rest.

Mental Description: Lucy is a bright and dedicated girl. Clever and thoughtful, she has a genuinely good nature and thinks the best of others, though she knows that not everyone is looking out for her best interests. She prefers not to stand out, taking a back seat and shying away from the spotlight. She struggles when under a lot of attention, especially that of her peers. Her worst fear is public speaking. She tries not to dwell on it, but when she's embarrassed or scared she tends to either lash out verbally, or run away.

However, when she's used to someone and has grown a little closer to them, she is a firm, loyal and funny friend.

Biography: Born into a wizarding family in York, Lucy grew up in the full knowledge of who she'd be and what place she'd be going to. Her mum and dad both work at the Ministry of Magic, in the Department for Magical Law Enforcement and the Department of Magical Transportation respectively.

When Lucy was very young, she was involved in an accident in her father's workshop. Being a curious toddler left unsupervised for a few minutes, little Lucy ended up investigating the contents of the workshop desk, which included some things that he'd brought home from work. After dropping something, Lucy was caught up in a magical blast that injured her.

Lucy is the eldest child, with a younger brother and sister that are both infuriatingly more social and confident than she ever could be. Her early childhood was fairly happy, with Lucy curiously exploring the world around her. She always loved to find things out, whether about the Muggle world around them or the magical world that she mainly explored at home.

She excelled at her primary school, with most teachers there thinking she'd be off to some exclusive grammar school to continue her education. They were certainly correct.

Lucy's life up to this point has been loving and largely uneventful, aside from the accident. At this point, Lucy is both excited by Hogwarts and a little bit scared of being somewhere so distant for most of the year.

First Instance of Magic: Lucy's first display of magic happened shortly after her 9th birthday. Her parents were already expecting something to occur at that point, wondering if their daughter would show the signs of her magical ability.

After being forced to speak in front of people at school, Lucy came home upset. When she was faced by her younger siblings being annoying and two tired, hard-working parents not really having time for a nine-year-old's drama, Lucy stormed off with childish anger. As she did, she managed to make the picture frames fly off the walls and swirl around them all, which was very disconcerting to everyone involved. After she'd calmed down (and stopped freaking out), the family celebrated the reveal of Lucy's magical ability.
