Physical Description

Lean-built, scraggly haired, freckled little boy. His complexion is a tad tanned from the amount of time he spends venturing the outdoors, (and some may say be a little dirty and unkept, having patches of dirt on his face and hands most of the time). The boy’s unruly hair is a deep, chestnut brown, sporting tons of cowlicks that never seemed to be able to tame. His eyes are always bright and curious, reflecting a more ochre brown with flecks of hazel. He stands around 4’9, being shorter than most of his peers. Charles’ choice of casual clothes are often oversized wooly jumpers tucked in loose denim jeans. When wearing his school uniform, he wears a dress shirt underneath a wool sweater-vest accompanied by a yellow tie, which is often tied in a disastrous manner.

Mental Description

Being hard-headed and stubborn, Charles is hard to sway when it comes to changing his mind about something. He's constantly told off when he attempts to join in on conversations, having a reputation of saying what he's thinking out loud. It’s not that he isn’t afraid of being blunt, rather he does not take the time and care to think about the consequences. He doesn’t mean to be rude, nor does he have malicious intentions. In retaliation to his actions he prefers to be more coddled and kept to himself when around people he feels he cannot personally connect with.

When he is actively talking to friends, however, he constantly jumps from subject to subject. Having an incredibly short attention span along with a wild imagination, it's unpredictable what sorts of stories or thoughts he may add. Once he talks about his ideas and passions, it’s a little difficult to get him to stop.

Biography

Charles comes from a comfortable family; he lives in a suburban home with his father and older sister. His father works as a carpenter, while his sister a teaching assistant at a secondary school. To keep company at home, he owns a black lab named Damien, whom he’s grown up with as well as become very attached to. He was very young, about two years old when he lost his mother, and his father never explained to him as of what has happened. The conversation never comes up in the household, so what is left of her are his shards of memories and still photos. Other than this, the Wolfssegners are nothing more than pleasant and ordinary.

It was difficult for Charles to make friends in primary school with his reputation of being , as his father would describe, “brutally honest” which would often get the boy into unintentional fights.

First Instance of Magic

It was during a fight in which his magic was triggered. Charles involuntarily summoned his dog in school who then continued to bite the ankles of the student harassing him. Though the action victoriously drove the other away, Charles simply sat there dumbfounded and confused. Neither his father or sister have mentioned the family line having the ability of magic.
