Sittingbourne, England

Maison is of average height and build for his age, though perhaps a bit on the lankier side. He's got a full head of shaggy, mousy brown hair and kind, grey-blue eyes. You can usually tell just by looking at him that he plays rough - he has noticeable scars on both of his knees from sports injuries, as well as a scar on his left wrist from an operation for an injury he sustained falling out of a tree when he was eight.

Maison is best characterized as an exuberant child, often finding himself in trouble with his fathers and teachers for speaking out of turn or running in the corridors. He is extremely conversational, often to the point where it's obnoxious, as he rarely allows anyone to get a word in edgewise. Others describe him as rambunctious and a bit bossy, though he never intends to hurt or offend anyone; in fact, he's has had a strong moral compass instilled in him from a young age, and is often the first to stand up to bullying or bigotry. Overall, Maison is a bright and loving kid, and hopes to surround himself with loyal friends during his years at Hogwarts.

Character History/Background:

Children weren't exactly Ruby Moss' cup of tea, so imagine her shock when she found out she was bearing one. Fresh out of sixth form, Ruby had huge life ambitions, leaving little time for nappies and sleepless nights. To complicate things even further, the child had been conceived with her best friend's fiancé, Milan Doyle. Neither wished to confront the fallout that would ensue if their affair were to become public knowledge. However, they agreed that the child deserved a loving home, and ultimately decided to put the boy up for adoption.

Fast forward to roughly nine months later, on the third of December, Frank and Gabriel Pritchard of Sittingbourne received the phone call that their soon-to-be son's birth mother had just gone into labor. For over ten years their hearts had longed for a child to call their own; the moment had finally arrived. In just a matter of hours, Maison Vincent Pritchard entered the world, and Ruby held him for just a moment before he was whisked away to his forever family.

At eleven years old, Maison is now the eldest of Frank and Gabriel’s three adopted sons. For the most part, Maison led a rather unextraordinary childhood. Neither his birth parents nor his adoptive fathers had any known ties to the magical world, so he grew up much like most muggle children, attending the local primary school where both of his fathers taught, and filling his free time with video games, football, and the company of good friends. He is very close with both of his fathers, and generally tolerates his younger brothers, aside from the occasional squabble or two.

Maison's peculiar abilities began to surface around the age of nine. The first of these instances occurred when the Pritchard sons were left in the care of a nanny while Frank and Gabriel were away on a romantic holiday in Paris. One evening, when the nanny ordered Maison to turn off his video game console and go to bed, he erupted into a fit of temper and (unknowingly at the time) caused the nanny's face to break out in painful boils.

It soon became apparent that this was not an isolated incident. Strange things just seemed to happen whenever Maison exhibited strong bouts of emotion (which was rather often, as it was no secret that Maison had a bit of a flair for the dramatic). This worried Maison's fathers to no end, but fortunately it wouldn't be long before all of their questions were answered. On Maison's eleventh birthday, a strange visitor arrived on their doorstep to deliver the news of the boy's extraordinary abilities, along with a letter informing him of his acceptance to Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry.
