Appearance and Personality

Jean-Papi has a very flamboyant nature and is very well articulated. He fits the very definition of the words extravagant and sophisticated. He’s loud, chaotic, a charmer at heart and most of the time very much annoying (That is if you ask other people. He will deny these slanderous accusations of course). The French man only does what he pleases. He doesn’t like authority that much and puts his money where his mouth is, but he’s brutally honest and will tell you how it is. Despite all of this, he is very caring about others and will be the first to help out those he holds dearest. He can’t stand the thought of hurting another person. As you probably could have guessed by now, he lets his emotions dictate his actions despite that not being the smartest move.

The former auror has well kempt pitch black hair with here and there a bit of grey coming through. His upper lip adorns a perfectly trimmed, small handlebar moustache and he has dark green eyes with his left eye gone completely glassy as scars run over his eyelids. He reaches a height of five feet and ten inches and weighs 170 lbs. Athletic is the first word that comes to mind when one takes a glance at him. JP is often seen in a black costume with feather motives and wears a 17th century ruff around his neck.

Biography

The French man was born as Jean-Papi in the Dupont family on the 28th of january, 1972 to the wizard Marceau Dupont and the witch Claudette Laurent. He was born and raised on the Île Sainte-Marguerite in France where he was given birth in the shadow of the prison named: Fort Royal and spent most of his childhood at Château Dupont. He has lived a calm and normal life, mostly rebelling against his parents and often visiting and trying to break into the prison itself, but he had never succeeded before.

At the age of three he became the proud big brother of Clement Dupont and at the age of five of Alexandre Dupont. JP was playing at five years old on his bed with some wooden blocks and was building a castle. When he tried to grab another block he accidently knocked over the complete castle. The sound of clattering depicting that the blocks had actually reached the ground never came. Instead the blocks seemed to defy gravity and levitated back on the bed in the exact same position they were before. It seemed JP had reached out his hand in a futile attempt to stop the blocks from falling.

On his eleventh birthday Jean-Papi couldn’t have been any happier, let alone his family, when he received an Abraxan feather that jumped to live the moment his father had touched it. It found the nearest paper it could, this being on some papers his brothers were drawing on, in this beautiful, almost illuminating, gold lettering depicting instructions on how to apply for Beauxbatons Academy of Magic. As soon as he was allowed they brought him to Cannes to jumpstart his academic career where he was awaited by an enchanting and beautiful carriage that was pulled by a dozen Abraxan horses. The high standards his Professors expected him to achieve he couldn’t possibly live up to. Let alone the responsibility of picking up the trade of his family. They were esteemed members of the Ministry of Magic turning as far back as five consecutive generations. It would be only natural for the first born to carry on the family’s legacy to step into his father’s footsteps. It seemed his destiny was set in stone. As clear as day. As sure as the sun rises in the east and sets in the west. So, there was only one solution left for JP. He rebelled and fought against everything his family and his parents stood for. To their great dismay. They had all, but deemed him incompetent and focussed their time on their two other sons. Grooming them for the day they would replace their father as the head of the Dupont family and its renowned legacy. As his days in vacations, holidays were spent rebelling at home, JP had continued this trend as well on school, often causing trouble and every Professor knowing him even more by his reputation for being a troublemaker and instigator then by his family name. That spoke volumes. He had spent almost his whole school career in detention instead of following the actual classes like his peers. The only classes he had excelled in, even though performing the most minimal form of effort, were Potions, Defence Against the Dark Arts and Transfiguration. His Professors would often tell him he had a natural affinity and feeling to these classes hoping this would spur him into action. This caused him to be chosen by the guild of alchemists, which he eagerly accepted. It came as a surprise to not only him, but his parents as well, that he had graduated, though barely and as an alchemist of all things, from Beauxbatons at all.

This negative spiral continued until Jean-Papi was 22, where he found himself alone and he reconnected with his Beauxbatons friends and found a passion, that was unrivaled, for music. At this point of his life JP was excommunicated from his family and all alone in this world except for his handful of friends. It didn’t take long for them to start their very own band. The only consistency in his life were band practices. JP was a member of the band: The Banshee's Wail. It was a group put together by five childhood friends: Oscar Couture (Leadsinger), Martin Segal (Drums), Hugo Fournier (Bass), Nathan Paquet (Rhythm Guitarist) and Jean-Papi Dupont (Lead Guitarist). They were famous and well known all over the world or at least that was what JP had been led to believe. Together they had scored global hits such as, but not limited to: "The Taste of Gold", "I Flew All Night" and "Prophecy". However, to all good things come an end.

At the age of 24 this end had come in the form of the unfortunate passing of the frontman, Oscar Couture, through poor life choices. After the band had taken the time to grieve the loss of their friend the record company wanted them to decide who the new lead singer would become. Jean-Papi immediately wanted to take the role upon him, but the others wanted this very position as well. As hard as they tried to resolve this particular issue it couldn't be. Too many of the other band members wanted the very same thing. So, then and there they had decided to split up. That, however, is how JP always tells it, but as you may or may not know. Every story has two sides. The other side to this particular story is that Jean-Papi Dupont was in fact kicked out of the band, because he did not accept that the band had chosen Nathan as their new lead singer.

Jean-Papi then found himself again alone in the world. His musical career came to an abrupt ending and leaving him friendless as well as financially broken he was forced to go back to the place of his birth. The Île Sainte-Marguerite and the seat of the Dupont family. Once there he threw himself to the mercy of his parents and they had welcomed him back with open arms on one condition. JP had to be willing to take over his father’s spot as the head of the family if the time came and so the French man had accepted this to the great dismay of his siblings. After that was done his father, Marceau Dupont, had pulled some strings and so he was hired at the Ministry of Magic to work as an auror. Unlike his brothers who worked as Unspeakables. Nothing could have been a better fit for him. Quickly he rose through the ranks as he cleaned up the streets of Paris ranging from dark wizards to exotic and rare magical creature sellers to those who were buying up cursed objects. After seven years of working as an auror he got promoted to serve in a special task force of hit wizards. Their sole purpose was to track, entrap and capture escaped prisoners and those who had spent their lives trying to evade captivity and justice from the law. With this his parents had brought him a special gift. They had handed him a hollowed out umbrella where his wand could be stored. At the hilt of his wand there was an ornate piece of a silver vulture with spread wings, the Dupont family crest. However, it wasn’t any ordinary umbrella. Oh, no. Out of its tip there could appear a small blade when he pressed a button.

In the following years a lot happened that formed JP to the man he had become today. After the death of his wife he had to flee France with his infant children from a vindictive father in law that blamed him for the death of the apple of his eye. After sleeping with one eye open and never staying in one place for more than a couple of months the following six years passed by with a breeze. However, when they were staying in Switzerland Jean-Papi was ambushed at home by a bunch of hags that kidnapped his children.

Now two years after the kidnapping he is still in search of his children and found a lead that some of the answers he’s looking for could be found at Hogwarts. Hence why he has accepted a job as School Nurse.
