Molly is an only child raised by a warlock father and muggle mother. Her mother has no magical ability at all and her father did not reveal that he was a wizard until after Molly was three years old. This is when her magical abilities began to manifest. It wasn’t anything spectacular just small things that her mother began to notice and question. Molly would be playing on the stairs and fall down, her mother could have sworn her child simply bounced and landed on her feet, no injuries. There were more clumsy accidents that had no negative outcome, Molly set a letter on fire, but there was no fire in sight or anyway to explain how the paper caught alight.

Molly’s mother was naturally shocked when her husband revealed the truth and as she said it took her a while to get her head around it and accept that there was magic in the world. Her father first explained that he was a wizard and she was a witch when she was six years old and he explained all about Hogwarts and what his school life was like. She’s been looking forward to attending Hogwarts ever since and was so excited when she received her letter. She was worried that she wouldn’t get in and that this would disappoint her father. Her father is a reporter for the daily prophet and her mother is a teacher at a muggle school, so their income is not particularly special or spectacular.

Not many people notice Molly when they first walk in the room, she’s not the loudest, the smartest or the funniest. Being an only child Molly likes to please people, she likes to make people happy even if this is sometimes to her detriment. She does come across as timid to begin with. When people get to know her they realised that she is kind and intuitive. If Molly has a gut instinct she tends to follow this.

Molly is petite with pale brown eyes and long dark curly hair. She looks mostly like her mother although she has inherited her father’s slightly chubby cheeks and his fair complexion.
