Biography

Aoife is the youngest of three children born to Saoirse Lovett an apothecary for St.Mungos and Caleb Lovett an inspector for the Department of Magical Law Enforcement within the Ministry of Magic. Growing up as the youngest Aoife is the last of her parent's children to attend Hogwarts. For quite some time Aoife's parents suspected that Aoife was a squib as she failed to show any sign of magical talent up until 6 months before her letter arrived.

Growing up Aoife was surrounded constantly by magic. She would go with her parents to the Kings Cross Station to see off her brother and sister each year when they left for Hogwarts. And each year Aoife eagerly awaited her own trip upon the Hogwarts express. Though as time drew onward and the year she would come of age to attend the prestigious school of magic drew closer she still seemed to show no sign of magical potential. For a time Aoife's family feared she possessed none at all.

The thought of this left her family distraught knowing the stigma that the magical world at large held against squibs. And in time Aoife herself had become to realize that it was not normal for a child her age to not have exhibited any signs of magic. Her family worried heavily about Aoife's future. But none more than her brother Liam. Her brother was the first to notice the negative effects the family's concerns had upon his youngest sister.

Looking to keep Aoife's spirits up her brother would often take her to various places such as Diagon Alley and Hogsmeade. He would buy her toys and sweets with what little money he had through his allowance. But this would only serve as a small bandage upon a much larger wound. Despite the brief periods of joys these little outings provided to Aoife the looming idea of never being able to use magic loomed over Aoife like a dark cloud.

Although perhaps in an ironic twist of fate this very melancholic period of Aoife's life would bring upon the most joyous as well. As one day 6 months before her eleventh birthday water seemed to pour down the staircase of the Lovett family home. The source being the crack beneath Aoife's door. Upon investigation, they found dark clouds hovering about the ceiling of Aoife's room everything within soaked through from the rain pouring from them. But despite the dark and gloomy scene, Aoife sat upon her bed with the brightest smile she'd ever worn.

Relationships

Aoife's relationship with her family is for the most part normal. Her mother dotes on her often as the youngest of her children something that Aoife both enjoys and detests. She does love her mother but at times she is somewhat irked by her mother's over the top maternal antics in public. (EX. Cleaning her face, Excessive hugs and kisses.). Her father tends to be the stricter parental figure in Aoife's life often dishing out punishment for Aoife's more dangerous antics. But all the same, the relationship between father and daughter is warm and loving.

Aoife gets along well with both of her siblings but she is far closer with her brother than her sister. Primarily because her brother tends to be a primary source of various magical objects with him having bought Aoife things such as a pair of Omnioculars and a spell-check quill. Her brother also tends to chaperone most of her trips into Diagon Alley. Aoife's sister gets on well with Aoife as well although as of late she tends to be more reclusive primarily due to the fact that she spends the majority of her time writing a boyfriend she met at Hogwarts leading to a bit of distance in the relationship between the sisters.

(Familial Relationships)

Caleb Lovett
-Aoife's relationship with her father is warm and loving. But at times he does serve as the disciplinarian more often when it comes to certain aspects of Aoife's behavior. He is well aware of his youngest daughter's adventurous streak and often has had to keep a close eye upon her during family outings to Diagon Alley or abroad. Despite being somewhat firm with Aoife he does have a slight tendency to spoil Aoife from time to time buying her sweets or little toys and knick-knacks to please his daughter.

Saoirse Lovett
-Aoife's relationship with her mother is warm and loving as one should be with family. although she does tend to stress her mother out quite a bit. Aoife's habit of going off on her own to explore often causes her doting mother to worry deeply. She tends to be quite the mother hen toward Aoife often showering Aoife in love and attention and expression worry for Aoife if she so much as goes into the backyard alone without telling anyone. As Aoife has grown older she has also grown somewhat resistant to her mother's constant displays of maternal affection but after a talk with her father about how much her mother loves and cares Aoife has learned to take her mother's displays in stride.

Liam Lovett
-Aoife and her brother share a very close relationship. This primarily stemmed from her brother's enabling personality as he often would take Aoife along with him and his friends when they would go out fueling the young girl's wanderlust. The siblings grew even closer during the period where Aoife's failure to show any magical potential became a more serious issue for her family. The two would become quite close as Liam would do anything in his power to cheer up his youngest sister.

Moira Lovett
-Aoife gets along well with her sister but didn't really spend much time with her despite how much Moira had wanted to bond with her little sister when she was born. Unfortunately most of the time Aoife always seemed to prefer spending time with their brother Liam over Moira herself leading to a bit of distance between the two. She does still love her youngest sister and over time the two did come to close the gap in their relationship together. As of late, however recently Moira has been spending more time focused on a boyfriend she met at school leading to quite a monopoly on her time.
