BACKGROUND//PERSONALITY

Mariah Menstil stands a whopping four feet and four inches tall, but if you dare comment on just how short she is you might lose a finger or two in the tussle that will ensue. It's a matter of pride after all. With three older brothers, Mariah is the last person to shy away from confrontation. Her childhood was filled with spats over who got the bathroom first, who sat on the best part of their couch, and who had to help Mom do the dishes.

However, the perks of being the only daughter are plentiful. Mariah never has hand me downs, always has first dibs (because she is the youngest, after all), has her very own room, and is constantly surrounded by a group of supportive burly boys.

Mariah and her brothers have the brooding looks of their Spanish oriented mother with midnight curls and a natural tan. They were lucky enough to glean the light hazel eyes of their Blonde, English father. The Menstil boys, so close in age, are often mistaken for triplets, one a carbon copy after the other, but Mariah, three years younger than the youngest son, is obviously the baby. Her cheeks are still round with youth, her body as plump as any child's.

Mariah's mother Maria, a natural beauty, uses shopping and makeovers as a way to bond with her daughter and Mariah can't deny she enjoys the quality time despite how tedious it is.

Her father, Henry, is more inclined to allow his daughter to tag along with her older brothers, often playing in the woods by their lively countryside home. As it were, home has always been a pleasant and safe place for Mariah. There was no horrible catastrophe, no family drama, and no problem with money. Her father works full time at the ministry, making a comfortable living and her mother, after Mariah left for school, found a part-time muggle job somewhere. Mariah is a little ashamed to say she doesn't know where her mother works. Her family doesn't really practice the Muggle side of their heritage.

SCHOOL

If you pass Mariah in the hall, you're likely to see a well-groomed girl wearing her heart on her sleeve. She has no facial control and to guess her mood from her face alone is too easy. Mostly, she's friendly, keen on having a conversation, but she's never interacted with children her own age so forgive her if it gets a little weird.
