Adelyn Barclay was born the 15th of December, the beginning of a bitter winter.

Adelyn is a fair-skinned girl with eyes a mixture of gray-green. Her hair is a natural brown with heavy red overtones, along with some unnatural blonde highlights her mother convinced her to want before she was shipped off to Hogwarts. She abhors them.

Born into a wealthy family, her early childhood was much of a golden blur. She had a happy childhood, spending much time in Scotland's lush fields as well as the tallest castles in her home country of England.

Though wealthy, Adelyn's parents had little time to spend with her due to their busy schedules as pure-bloods who ran a successful business. Adelyn resented them for a while, but grew to appreciate the small time her parents spent with her. However, both her mother and father were more prepared for meetings and briefings than raising her. They were never cruel to her, and she never was harmed, but much of her childhood was spent with nannies and her beloved dog "Yeti." Adelyn had always had a love for animals, speaking to them ( with no response, of course ) and cherishing them as a friend. This is most likely due to the fact she was an only child. Her parents were also extremely wealthy so that allowed her to view or collect almost any animal she could imagine. Adelyn frequently writes to her parents whenever they are away, and she sometimes receives small trinkets or letters back when her parents find the time. However, her parents being away allowed her to experience being raised ( for the most part ) by a short, stout, American woman by the name of Jean. Though a bit strict, Jean taught Adelyn to be honorable, giving, and to never brag about where she came from. Adelyn respects Jean, but they would often quarrel when Jean would refuse Adelyn more allowance or spending money. Adelyn has learned to be more cautious when spending, and has told her parents she wants only minimal help from them during her stay at Hogwarts//center]
