Crescent Moon Ghealach, he also goes by Gale, Cres, and Moon. He's a friendly fellow with a streak for being a quiet yet very loyal friend. He doesn't like people in general unless they are actually worth talking to.
Born in Ireland, his family moved to England for a better job opportunity. His father is a wizard that is good with his hands. His mother works at a bakery in the Muggle world.
He has two siblings, both younger than him. His sister Fawn and brother Amicus. Amicus is his twin but wasn't born with magic.
Ghealach has a strong desire to unravel secrets and every so often will actually stand up for what he thinks is right. He will most likely not talk to people and disappear in the background but when he gets going, some think he's loony.

Some may say he is independent or a loner. He would much rather smash a pie into someone's face than talk to a stranger. He won't draw attention to himself and usually gets away with things.
He's a bit tall for his age, and will grow to be 6' 6" in his teen years. He is agile and athletic but isn't super competitive. If someone asks, he'll play just about anything but nothing has ever been all that interesting for him.
A few of his secret talents that he keeps to himself include that he is incredibly good at dancing. He loves it but has been teased in the past about it. He's also very crafty with his hands and can usually make anything he sets his mind to. If he doesn't have the right tools, he'll find some other way. On the other hand, he can't sing a note on tune, he'll probably shatter glass if he tried.

Gale first learned of his magic when he was out playing with his brother in the streets, a few blocks from home. They were kicking a ball around when a strange dog came towards them. The boys only watched the strangely slow movements of the dog. It wasn't walking right, staggering as if it had swallowed something to make it loopy. As the dog grew closer the boys bent down to see what was going on. At this moment, two things happened. Amicus had recognized the symptoms as mad dog disease and shouted a warning. The dog lunged at the twins, Amicus barreled into Gale and both fell to the ground. They could now clearly see the saliva and blood of the dog as it prepared once more for an attack. Gale's eyes were wide with fear as the dog leapt. At this moment, a current of what seemed like an electric shock overcame the frail body of the rabid dog and it collapsed to the ground. The air smelled faintly of burnt fur. The boy's were in shock. Gale's hair was on end as if he had also been electrocuted. Both boys ran home faster than they had ever run before. And thus, continuing the journey to Gale being sent to Hogwarts.
