Asteria Norbert is an 11-year-old who just received her Hogwarts acceptance letter. To say the least, she is very happy. 

Asteria comes from a half-blood family. Her father is a Muggle while her mother is a witch. Asteria’s mother, Elysia, attended Hogwarts when she was young and later went on to work in the Ministry of Magic in the Misuse if Muggle Artifacts. Elysia met Asteria’s father, Andreas, and they settled down in America when they received a job offer to teach. They stayed in America for a few years but moved back to London to have Asteria. 

Asteria was born on March 1st, 2008. She was a stubborn child from the start but she makes up for it with her wits. Asteria stands at 4 feet 11 inches. She has dark blue eyes, mostly blackish hair, and rosy lips. She has a slight pink blush on her cheeks and her eyes are always sparkling with curiosity. 

Her favorite colors include platinum, metallic blue, and mint green. Her favorite places to visit are the London Eye and her grandmothers little cottage in the country. Asteria loves to talk, but only when she feels like it. Sometimes, she can be quite shy and hide in Athens shadows. Also, Asteria LOVES to read. Her favorite book is The Hunger Games, although she does have nightmares about it being real. 

The first time Asteria discovered she was a witch was at her local park. She was playing in the grass reading a story with her mom. She had unconsciously picked up a wilted flower, but when it touched her hands, it bloomed. Asteria's mother watched all this and was very delighted. She was super proud of Asteria and she wouldn't stop talking about it. Asteria was sent to her grandmother's often to learn about the wizarding world. This helped her to fit in proficiently in both the Muggle and Wizarding World. Asteria fell in love with Quidditch and she aspires to become an animagus. Before she left, her grandmother had given her an amethyst charm necklace saying that it hopefully helps Asteria not feel homesick. 

Asteria cannot wait till she goes to Hogwarts. Her goals are to make new friends, pass all her classes, finish reading 1/7 of the books in the library (she will read a little bit for every year she attends), and not to receive a Howler.

(Asteria's nationality is English-American because her father was born in America but moved to England. However, her mother was born in England. Asteria likes to consider herself as American because she likes to be a little different than others.)
