Background:
Nikolas was born to a loving family in Limerick, Ireland. Full blooded Irish with the hair and freckles to match. His father, Gregory Collins was a tall man, standing around the six foot mark (around 1.8 meters). He works in the tourism office of the city. He has blue eyes, a full beard, and is slightly balding. He is fairly lanky with a small bit of a gut protruding forward. His mother, Ellory Collins (née McKellis), is a somewhat short, plump woman with a round face. She has shoulder length curly red hair, and an adoring smile. Her eyes are almond shaped and are a forest shade of green, and she is covered in freckles from being out and doing her gardening. She is a stay at home mom who has a small etsy store where she sells her knitted creations.
Nikolas is a mix of both, being freckled, and very ginger. He is (at his young age of eleven) almost as tall as his mom at five-foot five inches (1.65 meters). He has her green eyes and freckles, and is lanky like his father was in his youth.
Nikolas realized he was very different at the age of five. It all began when he read the book Matilda by Roald Dahl. He had also watched the movie religiously, and really wanted her powers. Well one day...it happened. He didn't want to do something his mother had asked (that being put away his toys and wash up for supper, as he was not done playing yet.), and so he yelled "NO!" well, in doing so, he angrily caused his toys to levitate off the ground around him by a few inches.
He was shocked, his parents were shocked, and eventually it was over. The toys fell to the side, as lifeless as they had been. More bizarre instances occurred over the years. He regularly made his vegetables disappear into the trash can. The remote would levitate to him when he wanted it. He also accidentally set the floor on fire a couple times when he was angry.
The letter came in June when he was eleven (his birthday had been on the twenty-fourth of January). Along with a summons to the ministry. After a process at the muggle registration office, and several explanations, his family finally had the closure they needed for his "bizarre phenomena" and they could not be more proud.

Nikolas' muggle friends would definitely describe him as having a golden heart. He is always there for them, and will also stand up to their bullies as well as his own. He works hard, though he sometimes does slack a bit when he is not in the mindset. He is also very anxious, and tends to make mountains of molehills with his overthinking. He can also be very stubborn, and refuse to change if his beliefs are challenged; this can be quickly altered by undeniable proof however. He can also get ahead of himself sometimes, and is a bit of a day-dreamer at times.
