Alayna is an orphan from Ireland. She was left on the doorstep of an orphanage when she was 3 years old. She was always a bit of an out-cast as most children were scared of her because of her strange appearance.

When Alayna was 8 she was adopted by kind Mrs Barns, a muggle journalist. Mrs Barns was very supportive of Alayna and took her everywhere with her. The Barns girls lived in Ireland for a year after Alayna's adoption before moving to England.

Alayna's magic first surfaced in the Orphanage through a series of peculiar events. Alayna always just thought them coincidences or her mind playing tricks on her.

As Mrs Barns' life was rather chaotic she decided to homeschool Alayna, this meant that she didn't talk to children her age much.
This, despite Mrs Barns lectures, encouraged her to view all children like those at the Orphanage.

The Barns Girls were surprised by the letter from Hogwarts and wouldn't have believed it if it weren't for their neighbours. There neighbours, the Petersons, saw Alayna's letter and the wizard accompanying it arrive and decided ti help them out. They showed them to Gringotts and all around Diagon Alley as they retrieved Alayna's school supplies.

Alayna is very shy and defensive, she can be quite rude at times but mostly tries to avoid talking. That being said, she is a rather nice girl, she just doesn't trust many people.

Alayna has white hair, red eyes and dark skin. She is rather skinny and of average hight.
