Basic Information

Full Name: Guinevere James Warren

Nicknames: Gwen, Gwinny (Only to immediate family. Even then, she dislikes the nickname.)

Appearance

Height: 4ft 10in

Weight: 87lbs

Hair color: Blonde (Natural), Red (Dyed)

Hair Style: Long and wavy, dyed varying shades of red

Eye Color: Green

Skin Tone: Pale

Style: Gwen is often seen in the latest fashions and designer wear when out and about with her family, but secretly prefers simple jeans and a comfortable blouse. (God forbid a Warren be seen in a t-shirt!) While her fashion sense does lean toward the expensive, she does have a taste for darker "punk-looking" clothing that she would never be allowed to wear at home. Unless she is taken by surprise, she never goes anywhere without immaculately done makeup.

Accessories: A charm bracelet given to her by her older brother

Distinguishing Features: An oddly-shaped birthmark on her outer thigh. Gwen has always insisted that it looks like a lion roaring, but most people just see a blob.

Personality

Dislikes: Chocolate, bullies, insects, floral patterns, judgmental people (She doesn't realize yet that she is one.)

Social Standing: Celebrity Family

Background: James Warren once belonged to one of the more prominent pure-blood families in the wizarding world. His parents, like many in their social standing, cared little for the affairs of Muggles. Yet in spite of this, James developed a fascination with them. Specifically, their music and cinema. He was a very talented actor. James loved the theater, and though he looked up to many a wizard celebrity and their stories of grandeur, there was something about Muggle films that captivated him. The way that these "simpletons" with their complete lack of ability could make such beautiful, fantastic, and even magical stories set his young mind a whirl. James Warren Senior had big plans for his son. He was supposed to be another in a great line of pure-blooded wizards. But junior did not care for magic. His parents did their best to set him straight, but he was determined to be an actor in those Muggle films he so admired. And so he did. The Warrens, embarrassed, did their best to erase all memory and evidence of the runaway theater boy. Yet in the Muggle world, his name only grew. Some say he used his magical abilities to climb his way to the top, though he vehemently denies these claims. There was no denying that he was famous though. Mega-famous. The kind of guy that teenagers and tabloids alike drooled over. Putting his magical life behind him, he married the equally famous Eliza Daley, a wealthy actress and singer. The two had a son shorty after marrying whom they told nothing of his father's origins. This boy and his little sister were to be raised in the lap of Muggle luxury, big names from the time they were born. Skylar proved to be as talented as his parents, and though he began as a "famous for being famous" celebrity, he grew into his own in his teenage years. As for Gwen, she has spent her entire life in all of their shadows... and their spotlight.

Magic

Wand attachment: Gwen likes her wand, inflexible and defensive as it is. In a way, it is just like her. Still, she is left to wonder what Mr. Ollivander meant when he said the wand liked people who "went on great adventures". She often ponders what adventures are meant for her and her wand.

Animagus: None

Amortentia Smell: Unknown until encountered

History

Gwen has always been a star. From the moment she was born, there has been a constant frenzy of paparazzi, makeup crews, private tutors, etc. She does not resent her parents for this life... after all it is all she has ever known. Yet she has always felt that she did not really belong. She has had plenty of classes in acting, singing, and choreography. Plenty of performances that have made her a household name in the Muggle world, even at her young age. Yet where she goes, comedic mishaps have always tended to follow. Once she was terrified of going onstage with her mother, when all of a sudden the stage lights began flashing out of control. Another time her father had bought her way into a role she hated so much, all of her costumes mysteriously grew three sizes too big. Every strange occurrence was dismissed in one way or another, but Gwen began to feel like she just wasn't cut out for this celebrity business. Her brother even began to call her "Jinx". On her 11th birthday, during a very public birthday party full of child actors and actresses, an owl flew above her head and dropped a small parcel into her lap. A few people cheered, assuming some eccentric had hired a bird trainer for the party, and Gwen went to set the package down with her other gifts. But something stopped her. Something about it felt... different. Excusing herself to the restroom, she read over her Hogwarts acceptance letter with wrap attention. What was this? A prank? Something set up by one of the tabloids to catch her looking foolish? She discarded it and moved on. That night, however, another owl came by delivering the same message. Her father, witnessing this, broke down and told her everything. He told her about Hogwarts and the wizarding world, about why she had never met any of his side of their family. He told her about magic, and how much he missed it sometimes, and that they must tell her brother or he would "flip out." Gwen felt like flipping out herself. This was all so new and exciting, and to a degree completely unbelievable. Yet it did explain those little "jinxes" that seemed to follow her wherever she went. After a long and rather difficult discussion, the Warrens decided that they would allow Gwen to attend Hogwarts ONLY to get her magic under control. After that she is to return to the family and continue keeping up appearences. That is their plan for her at any rate. Besides, celebrities send their kids off to expensive private schools all the time, right? It wouldn't be all that suspicious. Gwen is both excited and confused by the whole situation, but she does understand one thing - this is her escape. No more cameras, no more daily training and workout sessions... this is her chance to be a kid. And she isn't about to take that for granted!
