Lucy Hart is a muggle-born witch to Charlotte and Aiden Hart. Her mother is a entrepreneur and her father is a computer engineer. She was born in Manchester and, at the age of 4, moved to London to start her education. She has a passion for reading and music as she is constantly lounging around with a book or with headphones in while doing some form of art and craft project. She also really enjoys being organized and is willing to help anyone with their organizing needs as she is self-diagnosed OCD, but it is a minor case.
Her family claims that she was born with all of the good traits of her ancestors. She was born with dark chocolate-brown hair and bright blue eyes. Her skin is pale and creates a great contrast with her hair. She is of average height for her age and has a build of a football player, thanks to her father, who trained her to be a star football player when she was older as it was a dream he had for himself, yet never pursued. This is partially why she never quite fit in with a lot of the girls she went to school with. They were all very girly in both clothing and talk; however, Lucy was not quite as girly as she was not really into pink princesses and make-overs as the other girls. She tended to hang out with the boys and show them up in a sport they were all very fond of.
How she interacted with children of her own age solidified her personality as she grew older. She became very strong and independent, as well as competitive, yet she is also sensitive and kind towards everyone who does the same for her. However, don't get on her bad side as she is not quite as forgiving. She isn't mean, but she can hold her ground and is not afraid to stand up for something she feels is right. Her parents like to claim that she is also as sharp as a task and can figure out something at the drop of a hat. She prides herself in her academic abilities as she worked hard to get where she is academically, at the top of her class.
For Lucy, learning did not come easily to her until one day in a vocabulary lesson at the age of 7. Her and her classmates were jotting down notes and practicing how to write full sentences using more complex words in their vocabulary. She was struggling to figure out what to write until all of a sudden words started appearing on her paper in her handwriting, yet she wasn't holding the pencil. She thought of a word and the pencil began to write the word on it's own. Then she pulled out the workbook and was looking for a specific word to understand what it meant and the book began to slowly flip the pages of the book to get to what she needed. She was so confused as to what was happening. When she went home that day, she tried to make the same impossible event occur again, but she couldn't, until a few days later when she was struggling with her vocabulary again. The same event began to happen as she worked through her assignment. She began to control this ability a little more in order to help her learn and better understand the material she was being taught. She slowly began to notice a few other skills that she had that she could not explain such as making objects disappear, making her dolls move as if they were human, and her pets suddenly became very interested in her as if she was their sole caretaker. One day, a few months before her 11th birthday, her parents saw what was happening. Her mother fainted and her father began to question what he was seeing. No one quite understood what was occurring until Lucy received her letter from Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry.
