Luciel is a calm entity with a mischievous smile. He doesn’t do anything that wouldn’t benefit him in any sorts of way. One shouldn’t be fooled by his impish exterior and assume that this young man is imprudent for he is actually quite the opposite of a brash youth. He is calm and collected, always thinking things through before he makes any actions to avoid harming himself. Living in the streets taught the young Luciel that having a common sense would provide him with a greater advantage than being academically accomplished. Though he is smart, he is only smart enough to keep himself breathing and avoiding a sudden death from hunger. He is a money grubber and is currently trying to learn how to sell various items to earn a him a few shillings. “Profit is sweet even if it comes from deception.” Young Luciel always went by this quote taught to him by a bankrupt businessman who was making ends in the slums.

An orphan with no memories whatsoever of his parents. All he knew was that he grew up in an orphanage, doing hard labor the moment he knew how to walk and talk. He did not have a name and the orphanage’s staff only called him “runt”, well, they apparently call every child there “runt” making the children decide names for themselves and thus, a young and hungry boy, moving potatoes from their sacks to a basin, named himself Luciel. On a certain chilly night, London was encompassed with snow, and on that very night, a 9 year old Luciel decided to flee the orphanage, to which he thankfully succeeded in doing so. He roamed the snowy streets of London with hunger and fatigue overwhelming him. Every step would weaken his entire body, but no, he couldn’t give up. He bitterly crawled into an alley that turned out to be a blessing in disguise. There was a bakery’s backdoor, Luciel’s eyes shone as he stared at the knob, he approached it with feeble steps only to discover that it was locked. But he couldn’t stop there or he would have died from hunger, desperation filled his mind as he started to claw at the door when… It suddenly opened by itself. The young boy rushed into the empty bakery and ransacked the bread supply, giggling to himself as he finished up and ran away with energy, into the slums.

After escaping the orphanage, Luciel worked as a pickpocket for a bunch of homeless individuals. He’d give a certain percent of his earnings to them and in return, they would provide him with shelter and protection.
