Alex is a strange girl. She grew up with certain morals and expectations that were drilled into her every day. Don't get her wrong, she loves her parents but she is quite excited to go to a new place and experience things on her own. Some might say that is sad but she doesn't really know any different. Many might call her cynical but she is a realist and tends to say things that she doesn't mean. Alex is not very trusting only because she grew up around people that were not trustworthy. Her parents were always worked and when they were home they were always scrutinizing everything she did and as a kid, that is a lot of pressure, believe me. She might go a little crazy with the newfound freedom at Hogwarts but that is to be expected. She'll come back to herself within time but it might take the right friends to do so. It might take her a little while to find those friends, of course, because she gives off a stuck-up with a side of snotnosed brat type of attitude.  She needs a little confidence in herself is all. 
Her family isn't one that is well known as they only moved there just before her birth. Both of her parents went to Ilvermorny but they decided to move to Bristol for better jobs and pay. They just so happened to get jobs at the Ministry of Magic. Because they are both overachievers they have risen reasonably high. Her mother is an Auror and her father works in the office that regulates the control of magical creatures.
