Artus Villiers

Artus Villiers is a wizard with noble blood who was born in York. His family originally came out of France, but the branch to which he belongs came to England during the year 1066. Shortly there after they respectively became Peers. Being part of such a noble family greatly influenced his pre-Hogwarts childhood. As the expectations were quite high, he had to study the history of magic commonly, however it came with the benefit that he can easily adapt to unfamilar situations. Aside from that, his life was exceptionally loonily, because he was not allowed to meet other people, unless they were of similar rank. That combined with the fact that he does not have siblings undoubtedly diminished his social capabilities. As a result he is either rather silent or talks with no end in sight. Should those, who he calls friends, be in trouble, he will do everything in his power to help them, disregarding what consequences this might have for himself. Another aspect of his personality is the fact that he tries to take control of situations he encounters. Is there no reason not to do it, he also wants to gain advantages out of it.

When it comes to his physical abilities he is less than incompetent, as he never received physical training of any kind. In opposite to that his abilities regarding the subject of magic are outstanding. When it comes to learning spells he is quit quick, but casting them is another story. The high expectations that confronted him, work as a guideline whilst casting spells. As such his spells are both accurate and well controlled. His home lessons also gave him a lot of general mage knowledge accompanied by knowledge about potions.

Although he has many positives and flaws there is one problem that keeps on troubling him. Having lived a noble live so far, he wants to be a unparalleled mage, yet he also wants to have normal friends, as he was never granted this wish in the past. This inner conflict often distracts him even in crucial moments.
