Rielle Julietta Brandt hails from London, England, an only child to Anne and Drake Brandt. She is the surviving twin of a brother, Michael, who died shortly after birth due to respiratory complications. Her mother, heartbroken, was never the same after this, becoming overly protective of Rielle. Her refusal to let her daughter out of her sight for even a moment has caused more than one argument between herself and her husband, who knows that Rielle will soon be attending school far from them and has been trying to prepare his wife for that inevitability. Anne knows in her heart that what Drake says is true; nevertheless, she hopes against all hope that Rielle will attend a private Muggle school instead, one that is only a few minutes away from home rather than several hours.

Rielle is pretty much an even-tempered person, though like most children she does have her moments of anger. These moments show up when someone takes her belongings without asking her first. She is not someone who willingly shares what is hers, and it has gotten her into a bit of trouble from time to time. Most of the time, she just shrugs it off, knowing that she will soon be back in her parents' good graces if she simply bides her time and doesn't get overly upset.

Rielle prides herself on many things, particularly her swimming and singing abilities. She is, however, very clumsy, often tripping over flat surfaces and getting tangled in her own robes. To exacerbate matters, she sometimes stutters whenever she's very nervous about something.
