Kim Hyun Jin, also known as “HyunJin” is a bubbly and positive eleven-year-old most recognisable by her pitch black hair and extremely dark eyes. Born and raised in Gwanak-gu, South Korea, she grew up in a magical family alongside her parents, Kim Seo Hwa and Kim Ye Joon, and her five sisters.. They lived comfortably in their home with a sufficient income, able to send both of their children to prestigious private schools in the area.
With Hyun Jin’s mother often busy taking care of all her siblings and her father constantly loaded down with surgeries and other medical responsibilities as a cardiologist, Hyun Jin and her sisters were often together when growing up, resulting in a tight-knit friendship between the six.
When Wong Kahei, Ha Seul and Ji Woo hit eleven-years-old, at their own times, the four of them began to send letters to eachother to stay in contact. They were sent off to Mahoutokoro School of Magic. Upset at first, Hyun Jin eventually secluded herself from her family, refusing to talk to anyone but her sister. This was soon over as she got used to most of her siblings not being there all day, going back to her usual bubbly self.
On her Sixth Birthday, Hyun Jin showed the first signs that something was amiss when she accidentally exploded her teddy bear! The Kim household was ecstatic, her father giving her a huge hug. It ended up being one of her best birthdays.
On her Seventh Birthday, she was enrolled to Mahoutokoro School of Magic automatically as she had shown magical signs the year before.
Eventually, weeks before HyunJin was meant to leave for Mahoutokoro, her parents changed their minds and decided to send her off to Hogwarts. She was distraught for being away from her family for so long, but wanted to see the positives. So, HyunJin made her way down to the train station and she bid their family goodbye, hugging both of her parents. All her sisters teared up a bit, giving their sister a big hug. She smiled and said a few encouraging words, before gathering her trunk and the rest of her belongings and setting off down to Platform 9 3/4.
