Sneaking Out
Sophie held her wand aloft and muttered, "Lumos." And the bright white light, appeared at the tip of Sophie's wand. She heard Nina do the same. Though Sophie had basically memorized the way to the Library from the common room, she always had to double check, there was no point in getting lost.
Especially at night.
Sophie walked along the corridors and down dozens of stairs, the Gryffindor common room was very high up. Though most Gryffindors probably never noticed it, well, except those with fears of heights. Those who had Acrophobia, were most likely terrified.
But Sophie had never really had a fear of something like that. Heights, confined spaces, spiders, were mainly things she didn't care about, she never did, and probably never would. She was always one to overcome her fears, but, there was one thing she would always be mortified of.
It wasn't the intense heat, or the flickering flames, it was the feeling of pain afterward.
And a teeny bit of, that Sophie despised, loathed, hated being hot. She preferred the cold winter to the blazing Summer. It was just the way she was.
As the two girls neared the Library doors, Sophie pushed one open, and slid inside, Nina, following suit. Sophie's wand was still neatly lit, and Sophie began walking towards the shelves.

"This is gonna be cool." She mumbled, picking up a book.

Sneaking Out
I followed Sophie through the corridors of the enormous castle that was Hogwarts, the beautiful white light of our wands showing us where we were going in the dark halls. I could feel my heart pounding with force inside my chest in pure excitement while I followed the other girl, trusting that she knew the right way to the library. We went down dozens upon dozens of stairs, I hadn't really noticed before how high up the Gryffindor common room was. Usually the stairs were full of students walking to their classes, their houses, the great hall or anywhere they had to go. Now the staircase was completely empty, and it was quite curious to see them that way. Thank Merlin that I didn't fear heights! But closed spaces... They were another story.
We finally arrived at the library doors, and Sophie pushed them open, entering afterwards. I didn't wate a moment to go inside behind her. My excitement only grew with this, since this was the first time I had ever seen such a big library completely devoid of any people. It was just the two of us, no one else. My jaw almost dropped at seeing the library like that. It looked even bigger now that there was no one else there.

Sophie mumbled, and I nodded my head, agreeing. "Yeah, definitely." I whispered while walking to one of the bookcases. I didn't recognize any of the titles. There were so many different books, it was incredible. I finally picked up one of the books at random."This is gonna be cool."

Sneaking Out
The bright light shone in the darkness. Nina's light also light up the Library. It didn't seem as dark and scary, with he comfort of books, and the bright lights, it seemed more like a home to Sophie, instead of a Library in her school.
The home that Sophie had lived in for what was only a year old, Sophie had never known. Hell, she wasn't even born in a hospital! Much less growing up in a home. She was born on an airplane for crying out loud! As if her parents would let her live in a home for so long.
Gypsy girl, always running and never hiding. That's what her father had described Sophie. A girl who could never find a real home.
Screw him, he could go to hell, and never come back.

'Find anything Interesting Nina?" Sophie whisper called into the darkness. She couldn't see with eyes like her, and it was dark. Sophie heard Nina's muffled reply, and decided to find her friend. The books in the section she had been in weren't very interesting anyway.
Sophie walked deeper into the dark library, glancing around and listening for any sound of human life. Perhaps it wasn't a good idea to look around the dark library at midnight.
Just perhaps.

Sneaking Out
I opened the random book I had taken out of the shelf, checking it quickly while I illuminated the page with the light of my wand so that I coul read some of the words in it. To my surprise, I couldn't make any of the words in it. It was in some other language, or maybe even in some kind of code. "Huh..." I exhaled with curiosity and put the book back in it's shelf. That made me think. Might there be any books in Finnish here? I was really missing speaking and hearing my father's mother tongue. Sadly I doubted there would be anything in Finnish in this library, even though it was so big. My dad's country was quite far away anyway. I smiled slightly, I was really grateful that my parents had decided that both my brother and I should keep both of my parents languages, so my mom spoke always English to both of us while my dad spoke Finnish. Well... At least trying to find a possible book in that language shouldn't hurt.
I heard Sophie's voice whisper faintly somewhere. She appeared to have wandered somewhere away from me... Or maybe I had wandered away from her. "Sophie? Where are you?" I called whispering into the dark library. Now that I appeared to be alone... It was a bit spooky. Thank Merlin that Sophie was with me somewhere here... Even though I couldn't see her now."Find anything Interesting Nina?"

Sneaking Out
Sophie glanced around. The library seemed to be silent, almost.
"Sophie? Where are you?" Nina's voice seemed to echo in the silent library. Sophie had tried to find it, but it seemed to appear everywhere. Her bright green eyes seemed to appear glazed. She was unfocused, trying to find a spell. Ha. As if a spell would get them out. They were stuck in the overlarge library.
Sophie waved her wand and mumbled. "Lumos Maxima!" With the incantation and wand movement, the normally dark Library was emitted in bright, endless light. Sophie glanced up.
She wished she hadn't casted the spell.
As if it was a curse, they could hear the loud scrabbling off footsteps. Sophie stared at the door. "Nox." She whispered. And hid in a shelf. She could hear the Caretaker footsteps nearby, shuffling, and searching for the source of the light. Or, the student whom had casted it.
Sophie however, continued searching for Nina, she would have to find her friend, and get them away from there. The two girls couldn't get caught, or else,-
It would be the end of their School Career at Hogwarts for them.

Sneaking Out
I walked aimlessly around some of the enormous bookshelfs of the gigantic library we were at, trying to somehow find my friend. The "Lumos" spell my wand was casting wasn't emitting that much light, so I couldn't really see much more than what was just in front of me. The rest of the room was a dark mystery. I lightly brushed my fingertips on the surface of a bookshelf to try and orientate myself. I didn't really have much idea of where I was going, since I had really never fully visited the library, I had had just a glance inside once.
Suddenly I heard my friends voice call from somewhere, but I couldn't tell how far or near it was because of the echo.
"Voi ei... Pitää piiloutua nopeasti" I whispered absentmindedly, without even noticing that I had whispered in Finnish. As the bright light vanished, leaving the library into the dark once more, I quickly whispered "Nox", making my own light disappear and I followed the bookcase back to where I came from with my touch. Finally I hid behind one of the farther away bookshelfs, praying that we weren't found.
Sophie... Where are you? I thought to myself, worried.

However, it didn't take long for a incredibly bright light to illuminate the library. For a moment I was dumbfounded, staring at the light but came out of my momentary trance when I started to hear loud and fast footsteps echoing in the library. I couldn't tell exactly how near they were, but I knew that I couldn't loose more time. Neither of us could be found here, or we were going to get expelled."Lumos Maxima!"

"Voi ei" means "oh no" in Finnish
"Pitää piiloutua nopeasti" means "I have to hide quickly"

Sneaking Out
Sophie crouched down and continued searching. She wouldn't be found very easily, as she was much too small to be noticed by the average person. Was she even a person? She was much too small to be one indefinitely.
Sophie pushed herself deeper into the dark library. The shuffling feet of a caretaker had her stop silently. She would be found if she didn't hurry. But she wasn't going to run out the door and leave her best friend behind.
So the most obvious thing to do, is to stun the Caretaker, find Nina, and run out. How hard could that possibly be?
Very. Very hard.
Sophie tiptoed until she saw the nuisance Caretaker. They were looking through the shelves, their wand alit. Sophie had to be silent and wait for the perfect moment, until she could cast the spell. The caretaker might have a counter-curse at the ready.
Finally, the Caretaker shuffled away from the bookshelf they had been searching and turned towards the restricted section. Sophie could hear them muttering about "Students out of bed. Oh this'll mean some expulsion."
A grin appeared on her face. As if they were going to get expelled. The Caretaker won't know what hit them until they woke up a while later. She then raised her Chestnut wood wand, and muttered, "Stupefy! " It was the only stunning spell she knew, besides, 'Petrificus Totalus!' but even then, you could see who stunned you, and the girls would be caught.
"Nina! Come out! We gotta go!" The Blonde Gryffindor kept on urging her friend out, if Nina didn't hurry, the two girls would be trapped, and the caretaker would awake. Sophie knew the incantation to unlock doors, but she hadn't really tried it. So, if the Caretaker awoke and locked the doors, they would be shut in the Library until morning, when they would be caught and expelled.

Sneaking Out
I managed to hide myself between the bookcases, hopefully out of sight in the darkness, but I knew that if someone walked here they would be able to see me, so I couldn't really do much more than stay as still as possible with the light of my want off, and hope that neither Sophie or I were found. Though I was truly trying to calm myself down, my breathing was getting faster and my heart was beating like crazy inside my chest. I tried to block any sound my breathing was making by covering my mouth with my hand.
Suddenly, though somewhat far away, I heard a familiar voice that I soon recognized that it belonged to Sophie.
Suddenly, though somewhat far away, I heard a familiar voice that I soon recognized that it belonged to Sophie.
She cried, and I heard a muffled thud. I didn't have long to ponder what it was however, because I heard her voice again."Stupefy! "
I didn't lose anymore time before casting again the "Lumos" spell and I sprinted from my hiding place, running towards the direction I heard Sophie's voice coming from. "Sophie!! I can't see you!" I exclaimed while I kept running towards what I hoped was the correct direction. Now I was regretting not having learned more spells yet."Nina! Come out! We gotta go!"

Sneaking Out
Sophie ran a hand through her hand frantically. She was extremely worried, and frantic. She could hear her mum's voice ring out through her head.
'Maintenant, souvenez-vous de Firefly, gardez toujours vos amis proches, vous ne pouvez pas les perdre, ou bien, vous n'aurez personne à qui parler, ou pour vous garder ensemble.'
Her voice rung through loudly, echoing in my mind. The darkness of the Library seemed to adjust to her eyes. The outlines of the shelves, and books seemed to come clear into the view. She closed her eyes once more, and opened them at last.

"Hey, can you not try to kill me? It'd be appreciative." Sophie replied sarcastically. Her friend stopped wiggling around at once, Sophie could tell that she was confused where Sophie was, or, had been.
"The exit is nearby, I have cat's eye, I can see where we're going. Just don't let go of my hand."

Sneaking Out
I looked around me nerviously, I was beginning to feel kind of scared. What if we were busted here at the library? I could not get expelled, and neither could Sophie. I couldn't even stand the idea of something like that happening. Suddenly, i felt something similar to a hand grab my shoulder. Thankfully I was just too shocked to actually start screaming, so instead I just began frantically fighting and wiggling away from the grip. I was expecting to hear a professor or a librarian scold me, but instead I heard a familar voice huff.
I heard Sophie comment sarcastically. Immediately I stopped wiggling around and looked around, trying but failing to see my friend. I was relieved to finally hear her voice, but I couldn't help but worry about where she had been while we were separated."Hey, can you not try to kill me? It'd be appreciative."
I heard her voice continue, and I nodded my head, though I felt silly doing so since I couldn't even see her, even though I knew she could see me. "Okay, you lead the way." I replied while tightening my grip on her hand."The exit is nearby, I have cat's eye, I can see where we're going. Just don't let go of my hand."
