Though Karlyn was far from shy, it was hard to not feel overwhelmed by all the other students bustling through the corridors. Some greeted each other like old friends, where others peered around nervously, looking as intimidated as she felt. It was encouraging to see that she wasn't the only one, at least.

Karlyn strolled through the corridors of the scarlet steam engine, eager to get the chance to meet some of the people she would spend the next 7 years with. She was filled with anticipation, but also a touch of anxiety. What if the other students didn't like her? She had always had lots of friends in Muggle school, but what if everyone here was different? She considered herself to be a fairly like-able person, but you never knew. A lot of these students surely grew up already knowing about the magical world, so she couldn't help but feel desperately behind. What if they made fun of her for not knowing something, or asking too many questions?

Karlyn shook her head and pushed those thoughts aside. She was probably just being a worry-wart. She would find an empty compartment to stake out in, and surely someone would come and join her.. she hoped. She found a compartment that was towards the back of the train, because if sitting on the school bus was any indicator, all the cool kids would flock to the back. She slid the door open and carefully placed her bag in the overhead compartment. She took a seat close to the window and peered down at all the families below. She wished she had brought a book, but she supposed a little bit of people-watching never hurt anyone.

Cassie was always in a hurry. Being ADHD she was constantly moving. She finished telling her parents good bye and practically ran onto the train. She lugged her luggage into the train and walked towards the back. She wasn't even going to wait for her brother.

Cassie was wearing her tan cloak, electric blue shirt, grey pants, and white high top sneakers. She had black hair that was dyed electric blue and had light blue eyes. Her skin was pale and fair making her look older than she was.

When Cassie reached the back she walked into compartment fifty-five. There was already one girl in their, but Cassie walked in and sat in the corner on the side opposite of the girl. Hopefully her brother would find her sitting back here.  Being 4'2 Cassie was very short for her age. Unlike her brother she had not gotten the height of both of her parents. Or she hasn't had a growth spurt yet. "Hi I'm Cassie stone. Pleasure to meet you. What house do you want to be in? Are you excited about learning about magic? Have you had any magic experience before? If not J still think you are cool. Sorry I talk too much." There Cassie did it again. She has a habit of trying to say all the words she can in one breathe.

Sophie waved goodbye to her mother, yearning to get onto the train.

"さようなら、あなたを愛して!" Sophie called out to her mum. Her mother waved goodbye as well, and Sophie hurled herself onto the train. Her luggage had been slowing her down, only slightly. Her yearning had made her  a bit stronger.

As she walked farther into the train, she realized that most students were seated, and chatting animatedly. She had no friends to sit with. And, it seemed that most kids, were already with their friends. She felt scared, however, she only trudged on. There had to be a compartment with nobody in it.

After almost ten minutes of searching however, she found no empty compartments. The only one she could find, with few people, was compartment number fifty-five. She slowly pulled open the compartment door. She felt herself become scared, and she felt like running. However, she didn't run.

"Erm, May I sit here? Every where else is um, full."

She forced out a few words. She forced a small smile. Her trunk was behind her, and her owl cage held a large snowy white owl. She fidgeted her fingers nervously.

Thankfully, Karlyn’s theory proved correct and a girl approached her in her cabin after only a few moments. Karlyn greeted her with a wave and a warm smile as the girl (Cassie, apparently) began to introduce herself.

Karlyn felt like she had barely blinked, and the girl had already said what had seemed to be 5 sentences. She stared at her for a moment, still processing everything she had said. Oh, so this is what it feels like to be on the other side of that, she thought. Her sister would always get on her because she had a habit of talking in giant, run-on sentences when she was excited or nervous. It made her slightly relieved to find that Cassie was the same way.

“Pleasure to meet you, Cassie!” she giggled, feeding off of the girls positive and enthusiastic energy. “I don’t really mind what house I’m in, to be honest,” she replied, thoughtfully. Truthfully, she didn’t know much about the four houses, as she only peaked at the section where they were mentioned briefly in Hogwarts, A History. “I suppose I just want to make sure I go somewhere that I truly belong.. How about you?” She chose to ignore the second half of the question, as she wasn’t quite sure she was ready to answer that question right away. She was sure it would come up later on in the conversation anyways.

Before Cassie had too much time to answer, another girl popped into the compartment as well. Karlyn gave her a friendly wave and a big grin before waving her inside. “Yes, of course! We would love to have you sit with us,” she said, trying to be as welcoming as possible. “We were just talking about the houses,” she explained. “Do you know where you’d like to go?"

The trip to London wasn’t as smooth as the young girl thought it would be. Her parents said that the easilest way to get to the city was by using the apparition spell. It was a spell that her parents had constantly used to get to far away places that couldn’t be reached by driving the family’s 7-seater BMW X5. This trip was different, Aurelia had felt awfully sick when she had gotten to London. Her Mother had explained to her that it was her first time to an unfamiliar location which was the reason of her stomach twisting uncomfortably.

It was a good thing that she had gone to Diagonalley to get her stuff before hand, else she’d be late for her train. Aurelia had spent about ten minutes in the toilet cubicle throwing her guts up. The girl had barely enough time before she walked into a brick wall and board the train. She walked down the isle looking for a vacant compartment or at least one that wasn’t crowded with boisterous 5th years. Everyone of them she peered into was occupied to the brim, she walked further into the back of the train. The girl really didn’t want to spend the few hours standing.

The she finally found one. It was occupied with girls, at least for now. She really didn’t want cootie infected boys to join them. The girls seemed to be talking about houses. great! First years! the brunette thought in her head. One girl in particular, who had multiple colored streaks in her hair, was really chatty and asked a lot of questions. Aurelia loved talking too.

The brunette slid the compartment door open and stepped in. She sat herself down onto the seat beside a blond girl who had a caged owl on her lap. The eleven year old had a bad habit of not asking. Aurelia herself had a smaller brown owl in the metal cage that she put on the floor beside her.

I’m Aurelia Bezuidenhout.” She had introduced herself with a smile on her face.
We were just talking about the houses,” “Do you know where you’d like to go?"
The fellow brunette explained. She had brown and blue eyes and looked almost identical to the girl herself.

My Mother was a Ravenclaw and my Father, Slytherin. I’m hoping that I might get into one of those houses.” The girl explained. She had honestly not thought about the houses. Her Mother had told her that the sorting hat would put you into the house that suit she you the best.

How did you guys get to London?” Aurelia asked, abruptly changing the topic. She wondered if their parents used the apparition spell as well. It wasn’t possible that they had gotten sick too.

Yes of course! We'd love to have you sit with us. We were just talking about the houses, do you know where you’d like to go?
Sophie put her trunk in the corner of the room, along with her owl cage and sat down. The comfy seats were squishy and soft under her bodyweight. She switched to a more comfortable position. Her legs propped on her trunk.

"Gryffindor's the house for me, y'know. My mum always said I'd be like her, and get into Gryffindor. Dad says that I'm gonna be in Ravenclaw or Slytherin. Quite a difference really."

Sophie shrugged. Her owl hooting occasionally. As the train roared on by the outside world, Sophie couldn't help but grin. She was actually quite happy to be going to the school where all the amazing witches and wizards went to. Harry Potter, Merlin, and even Albus Dumbledore went there.

After what seemed to be like seconds, Sophie's thoughts were severed in half, when the compartment door slid open yet again, and another girl, a first year, with brown hair, and blue eyes, walked inside. She Introduced herself, and sat down.

Sophie, was looking afar, when the girl, Aurelia, piped up.
"How did you guys get to London?"
Sophie glanced up. The tale, of how she, had gotten, to Here? A tale that would take up the whole train ride. Deciding to keep it short, Sophie summarized her bizarre trip.

"Well, my mum wanted to fly broomsticks, but my dad who hates flying, instantly denied, then they thought we should Apparate, but my mum, who hates Apparating, said no. So by the time we actually decided to use muggle transportation, it was Ten fifty. So, we had about ten minutes to get here, and get on the train. And muggle transportation takes forever, I Barely had enough time to get on the train."

Sophie didn't realize how much she had spoken. She blushed instantly, and glanced back outside. Normally, she didn't mind talking with people, but, as some psychologist said, if you're friends with chatty people, you're quiet, and vice versa. Her mother was very into Psychology, and Science.

"What are you guys excited for? Like, class-wise. Personally, I'm excited for Defense Against the Dark Arts, or Flying!" A grin appeared on the young girls face.

No matter how much life threw at her (which was quite a lot) she could face anything, after all, she had a leading heart, and an ongoing Mind.

Goodbye lovelies!
